Just sent my first ever payment on AP to my wife for $400, it's been pending for four hours.

Will you get hit with cash advance fee if you do AP for a Citi Preferred card? I see myths/stories of a cash advance fee but I've done it before with my Citi AA Visa card and had no problems.

Will Citi Preferred be ok?

If it's a new account, then it will end up doing so. Usually takes around 8 hours.

My Citi Preferred has never counted AP as Cash Advance.

Are you guys having the cards simultaneously loaded to multiple accounts? or are you removing it from one AP account before adding it to another? I ask because I would like to add one of my Amex GC that I already used on one account to a different AP account but I would remove it from the other account first. Not sure if this makes a difference but wanted to see what scenario you guys had.

I have several cards saved under multiple accounts without problems. Just make sure that the cardholder name is the same with your name on AP account.

I've been doing alternating $1k payments between my friend (A) and myself (B) for quite some time. If we each added our wives as additional accounts (C & D) with different bank accounts linked to them, would we run any risk of getting shut down if we each sent a $1k payment to each other every month (A -> B and C -> D)? A & C, and B & D would each have the same addresses, but they'd be different people with different bank accounts. Or, under the same scenario, could we do A -> B -> C -> D without closing the loop and get in 3 transfers, instead of 2? I question this, because the money being sent to C would've originated from A, which is an account with the same address...?

I guess my question is: without getting shut down, how can we ramp this up to optimize using our wives' two additional AP accounts that we'll link to two separate bank accounts?

That should work for you.

Which scenario should work? ...I proposed two... :)

Any data points to support either one?

either of them would work.. you have 4 accounts with a different bank, credit cards and SSN associated with each, then u r good to go.. go ahead and do A>C, B>D, C>B, D>A.. enjoy..

What about A>B>C>D? Or we could change the order every month, so the chain wouldn't necessarily be the same every time...?

So I accidentally and stupidly sent 1k from amazon payments to my amazon account as a form of giftcard instead of my bank account :td: :(. I called and they said there's nothing they could do, even the supervisor couldn't overturn the bad move. Now to the most important question... how could I liquidate that or MS trough amazon ? anyone?

Buy and resell, or buy other gift cards? Or do some christmas shopping . . .

I'm not sure you can use Amazon gift cards to buy other GC's. It didn't allow me to use one to buy a Whole Foods gift card when I tried recently.

Sent $100 to my wife last night, both brand new accounts but verified. Got a "payment failed" email just now. Should I try again, or what is the best course of action? Also, I know the sending limit is $1k per month... is there a receiving limit?

The receiving limit is also $1k per month.
