You want to minimize risk. 1K limit from Amazon, and you're shooting off that limit in one go. That would look really suspicious if I was Amazon. Not to mention, it's an automatic "Pending" status. :td: I guess Amazon sees that I send high amounts a lot. So I doubt it's a bother any more.

The first few times. I panicked. But then I realized they went through with no problems. Didn't panic much anymore.

Never in one transaction. ^
Read above what I said above.

I think it would also help if people read through the past, eh. 25-30 pages or so. A lot of good information. ^ It's how I developed my plan of attack.

I had 3 transactions go through instantly. 1.3K. 1K on one account. $300 on another. ^ Same card.

In the past, I've sent anywhere from $500-600 a shot without any issues. If the account gets shut down, I learned my lesson. Now the transaction wasn't $1k exactly but slightly less. C'est la vie.

I'm not saying it's going to get banned. Just saying, 1K send in a day is probably not the best route. I usually mix it up. Sent $750 / $250 this morning. Last time I did $450 / $550.

I know there is some people that do really specific sends e.g. $324.75. I use spreadsheets to track where money is coming and going. Too much accounting for such a simple operation. Different strokes for different folks. :)

my brother just sent $1k to me today and I already received and initiated the withdrawal within 10 minutes of receiving it.

no problem so far.

I'm still waiting for pending status to hopefully resolve from about 5 hours ago. The longer it takes, the less cheerful I become.

Mine finally cleared. Took about 8 hours.

10 hours on this end. And yes, I actually had a nightmare about it. Woke up at 3 am to withdraw back to bank

Sent $500 (last of my $500 Chase/Visa gift cards) and it went through in about 2 minutes (meaning just now...)

Side note, I sent $1,000 usually but didn't this time due to the issues in the past 24 hours posted. But I almost always do and haven't had any issues for over a year doing that method.

I just figured I would add my data points, Send $550 using my Amex on Friday night and got pending status. Woke and transaction had cleared and withdrew to my bank. Went to my next account Saturday morning and sent $1000 in close to $300 dollar increments and all cleared instantly and I was able to quickly withdraw to my bank account.

I currently run an A->B->C->D->A operation sending the max 1K per month all with separate bank accounts and I have had the occasional pending transaction with amounts over $500 dollars but never with under $500 so I wonder if it is the larger amounts that trigger pending transactions?

Additional data point: I send $1K each month without issues (though to be fair I'm only on the fourth month doing this).

I send from my PC on home wireless and log in as my spouse on my cell phone's cellular network to avoid any IP similarities.

So no one is having troubles sending over $100/transaction this month? Thats strange, because I am.
I've added two $200 MC GCs and each time I try to fully liquidate the transaction fails, but when I tried doing $100 at a time it went through.
Thought I remembered reading about a transaction limit change, but didn't see anyone running in to that issue.

They probably are putting a $1 hold on them.

Sometimes there is a $1 temp hold on the gift cards. Try $199 or less.

True, thanks for the reminder. I hadn't run in to that issue before, but I bet thats whats going on.

Or when you first enter the card into Amazon, enter the wrong expiration date. Then go back and fix it. This avoids the $1 authorization.

I am just jumping into this now in the hopes of building up more spend starting in the new year.

I just set up my Amazon Payments account and somehow got my account features restricted because of a failure to verify my account info. Could this be because I used my work address instead of my home address in my account information? I usually use work for non-personal mail, so I assumed this wouldn't be a problem, and it seems I was wrong.

I've already sent an email and spoken with a representative to have the restriction lifted so that I can try to re-enter my info. I just wanted to check and see if this is likely the reason. I can't see what else could've caused the verification to fail.

Also as a quick question, I've seen a lot of people posting about breaking up their sends. Is this necessary or just a precaution? I was hoping to make the process as simple as possible by just doing a $1000 send each month.
