Anyone have an answer this question? I am maxed out on my amazon payments this month so considering using serve to meet a 750 spend. I have ci222banK DbT card
can i load funds to serve without c*** aDv fEe?

I have never had a problem loading my Serve account from a debit card, but no guarantees. I think it's extremely unlikely you will get his with a CA fee, and I wouldn't really worry about it.

Remember, the limit is $20K AND 200 transactions. So I doubt anyone on this board would have the 200 transactions - even IF they were able to have multiple accounts.

Semantics aside :) Anyone bracing for 1099 by March for 2012 from AP for receiving over 20K if AP decides to forget about the 'AND' part??? :(

Got this on my wife's account. Even though within limits, didn't have a CC attached. As soon as I added a CC, payments could go through.

Try loading Serve with a new CC. I got 10 minutes of The Spanish Inquisition for a $100 transaction on a card with a $250 monthly load cap. The cardinals over there deserve the Nobel Prize for Grand Inquisitions and Witch Hunts.

The cc is needed for the account to process as you found out. An account with just a bank (aka a receiver-type account) must have a cc attached. Real or virtual.

Again, I must caution that the natives are restless in the jungle.

Likewise, I just received notice from Barclays concerning my USAirways Mastercard that effective immediately the term "Cash Equivalent" (and thus considered a cash advance) includes "person to person money transfers (including but not limited to transfers facilitated over the internet)".

A search for Barclays only turns this up. Anyone know if Barclays considers AP "cash equivalent"? Can delete this post and PM if anyone knows the answer and would prefer I do it that way. Thanks.

i think i almost experienced some palpitations! :p

just looked online at a statement which closed a few days ago and AP transactions were thankfully coded as purchases. i dont remember receiving this notice but this makes me think twice about using AP/serve for the $750/month spend again!

I successfully used AP for some of the $750 spend, and likewise my wife has been getting miles for AP. I figure if the "miles since last statement" shown for your account online includes any AP, you are probably good to go.

I've been using my US Airways MC for almost a year now with AP and it always posts as normal transactions.
