Great connection today PRA-MUC-SFO
Arrived in MUC at remote stand. Had a Mercedes van take us to the F lounge where the personal assistant took our passports and had the passport control guy look at them while we settled in for a drink and a quick bite. We then picked up our passports and had a short walk to the departing gate. A quick BP check before the gates and that was it. For some reason I was expecting to run the gauntlet but was extremely pleased at how easy it was.

MUC T2S Business Class Lounge near L11 – Shower?
We will be flying LAX-MUC-CPT in a few weeks in Business Class. Currently our flights appear to arrive and depart from “L” gates. I’m getting conflicting info about showers in this lounge. Lufthansa website doesn’t mention showers, Lounge Buddy does.
Can someone who has been in this lounge confirm which is correct? I know there are other lounges but this would be the most convenient (and DH hates when having to wander around an airport, looking for a specific lounge).
Thanks in advance for your help

There are public showers close to the LH lounges in T2S but with a long layover in MUC going to the main terminal to visit the Business Lounge there shouldn't be difficult. It is centrally located and easy to find.

I have never visited the Business Lounge in the Satellite but I tend to trust what Lufthansa website says about lounge facilities (which I find are usually accurate) rather than what LoungeBuddy tells you.

Your LIS flight will either arrive at a G (main terminal) or K (satellite) gate, from where you will just need to go through passport control, no security required, to reach your H (main terminal) or L (satellite) gate. The BOM flight seems to depart from either, so you will need to figure out your gate upon arrival at MUC. Best case, if no transfer between the main terminal and the satellite is required, you just move one level up as you already said, which will be quite fast. If not, you will need to go down to the train and make the quick trip over, which will add about 10mins of time. Passport control queues for transfers at MUC are generally quite manageable, so I would not worry about your connection too much.
I don’t have experience with the assistance services, but I recall seeing them using buggies, so that might be acceptable for your friend I guess in your case I would just book the assistance service just to be sure in the case of an inbound delay, so you don’t have to rush through the airport.
Rationality prevailed, and assistance was booked. Arrived MUC slightly late at the extremity of some terminal or other and there was nobody to meet us. Friend insisted on forging ahead and we managed to hijack a buggy half-way down the terminal. Then it was lifts and trains and a completely jammed up immigration space. Luckily the BOM flight was kept waiting for a number of connecting passengers.
I was slightly shaken by the service failure of Lufthansa and super-smooth MUC. There was absolutely no way at all that we'd have made the flight without the assistance of our buggy driver, who seemed to welcome the challenge.
At the gate there was a satisfying beep and we ended up upgraded from premium economy, so all's well that ends well......

Forgive me if I missed this up-thread, but is there a security check in MUC on a LHR-MUC-IAD itinerary? I know there is no passport check, and I know that there will be "secondary" screening at the gate because it's a US destination, but is there a separate security check even before that?
Thanks!

Tomorrow I'm arriving in MUC from USA with a 10 hour layover (same-day) before flying to FRA. I am in FRA for 23 hours (overnight) before flying to Asia. Flying in LH first class (except MUC-FRA) and it's all one ticket.
At what point do I pass German immigration and customs?
Ideally I want to check my bag through to Asia (not retrieve it in FRA) so I can access the F lounge on arrival in FRA for dinner before going to the hotel (without worrying about my bag).. but I'm guessing I can't check it through both FRA and MUC and I'm not sure if I can/should short check it to MUC.
Appreciate any insight!

If you have a single ticket (PNR), I do not see why you should not be able to send the luggage through to final destination.
Enjoy your flight.

I'm sure we hit the frontier at an unfortunate moment in time, but be warned..... get your skates on and don't mess about with lounges until you get through the barriers !
