Since the extension of MUC, I'd say for any non-long-haul transfer (where E gates aren't involved) ZRH is probably the least complicated option

Not really. The trainride at MUC is so short that it is like an escalator. Even including the train, transferring at MUC is a breeze.

If you're used to connections at CDG, you'll feel like the whole MUC airport is an F lounge.

Yes, the train is much faster now, had a PA car transfer from Satellite lounge to the gate following a recent cancellation & they kept the car despite the new flight having a gate at main, all the faffing around with that particular driver the train would have been faster

Yes, the now improved train that runs every two minutes and has a total ride time of 50 seconds is more efficient than many of the long walks or moving walkways at other airports. As long as the PTS does not break down, which it hasn't in a while, the transfer between satellite and main terminal does not really make the trip much longer.

We will be flying LAX-MUC-CPT in a few weeks in Business Class. Currently our flights appear to arrive and depart from “L” gates. I’m getting conflicting info about showers in this lounge. Lufthansa website doesn’t mention showers, Lounge Buddy does.

Can someone who has been in this lounge confirm which is correct? I know there are other lounges but this would be the most convenient (and DH hates when having to wander around an airport, looking for a specific lounge).

Thanks in advance for your help

There are public showers close to the LH lounges in T2S but with a long layover in MUC going to the main terminal to visit the Business Lounge there shouldn't be difficult. It is centrally located and easy to find.
Just wanted to report back to assist other travelers. In this case, LoungeBuddy was correct and the Lufthansa website was ..lacking. The Business Lounge did indeed have showers, and it was pretty empty.

Which of these 2 *A award options would you recommend? (No checked baggage)
Both options are on LH453 LAX-MUC. FlightStats shows on-time performance of 44%
Connecting in MUC to AOI
1, 50 minute connection in MUC.
2. 8:50 connection in MUC.

With option #1 , concerned that we miss our connection and that are not seats available on the later flight. With option #2 , that's a long layover.

You don’t say where your flight originated but MUC is so easy for connections, so would go with 50 minutes.

A quick update - I had a pleasant transit through MUC earlier this week.My schedule gave me 50 minutes time between flights (both outside Europe) which caused me some anxiety. However, I discovered that it is actually ample - and it was a great experience. I even managed to get about 30 minutes in the lounge. A huge improvement over the connection nightmare in FRA.

UA to JP separate PNR's

Hello all,

I'm looking at a connection with a separate PNR. So arriving on UA and would probably need to exit security in order to check in with JP (Adria). Any advice on MUC for how long I should allow? Would 2hrs be enough time? No checked baggage. Thanks!

Lufthansa does Adria/JP check-in airside and you can also check-in online. So 1h is plenty.

UA to JP on a seperate ticket ? If that’s the case & the inbound is late you will not be protected

Yea of course, fare difference is substantial so i'll take the risk to save the $$ with separate tickets. 2hrs 35min between scheduled arrival and departure.
