I suppose this question was made 100 times, but...

Soon I´ll do pretty strange flight. LHR-MUC-MAD. I know that if the transit was in FRA , I´d have to clear security again to get to Schengen zone.

But in MUC? I don´t think so, but...
Thanks

Flights from the UK arrive at H or L and the flight to MAD leaves from the G or K, so no transit security, just passport control.

I just learned the hard way that FRA works differently

Thanks. I´ve always transited Schengen -Schengen or Schengen-No Schengen. But never No Schengen- Schengen.

Yeah, FRA is a real Guantanamo in this aspect...

Sorry, I’m on mobile so couldn’t easily see if this question had been asked before.

this morning I will be arriving in L and departing from H. Can I transit between them without having to go through security again?

also which Senator lounge is better L or H?

thanks

Whether you need transfer security depends on which country you are arriving from. If arriving from the US, UK or Canada you don’t need to go through security.

Lounges in L are much nicer than those in H.

When you arrive in L go to the Senator Lounge near gate L11. After the visit follow the signs for H which will take you down to the shuttle train platform. I’d leave the lounge at least 45 mins before departure.

Munich Airport connections

Trying to figure out the minimum amount of connection times I would need to make a connection at the Munich airport. Will be arriving from the U.S on Lufthansa and connecting on another Lufthansa flight to Naples, Italy.
Not sure what security/passport controls I will pass through (if any) and length of travel from one gate to another. Not sure of the gates but looking at same flights today, both arrived and departed from T2

Thanks

Quite straightforward really. MUC is generally considered to be one of the best airports for making (short) connections.
If you search "MUC connection" you find https://www.flyertalk.com/forum/luft...ad-merged.html

First time flying LH and transiting MUC this summer. We are arriving from LAX, connecting to VCE and the same on the return. After much research, I'm glad I chose MUC over FRA for the transit and am comfortable with our 1 hour connection on our return journey VCE-MUC-LAX. We're flying LH Business class and I have Star Gold Status (UA Plat). Any suggestions on which lounge to visit on our first connection?

Yes, MUC is soooo much easier than FRA !

SEN lounge in Satellite, K & L gates is the best & newest lounge at MUC

1h35m or 2h35m connection?

About to book BOS-MUC LH 425 arr 0925, could depart MUC-FRA on LH 103 at 1100 or LH 105 at 1200. US passport, no checked bags, flying in Y.

From what I can see, arrival and departure are from T2, and I think I need only clear immigration and no need to go through security again? I don't know how to see on time performance for LH flights but I'm guessing that the 1h35m connection is fine, and if I happen to miss it there appear to be hourly MUC-FRA flights so probably not a big inconvenience? Is my understanding correct? Thanks!

Yes, MUC is easy, coming from US just immigration & if something goes wrong MUC - FRA is hourly.
