I was in Vegas last weekend for the fourth and wanted to stay here but it was booked. I thought they weren't charging a resort fee. Sorry to hear they are. Looks like I'll be staying with Caesars where they don't charge resort fees, wish Hilton wouldn't for their diamonds.

My friend and I had dinner at the mexican restaurant, food was good but WAY overpriced.

Casino won't give you any kind of status if you are a Hilton diamond and they aren't matching any casino status. Kind of suprising they aren't doing status matches since Wynn and M-life matched my Caesars status. Since they are a new casino it would give people a chance to start out with some status and gamble there. Nice food court.

I was impressed with the casino. Lots of cool photo ops. Very modern design, a lot nicer than the Virgin. I asked at the front desk of one of the hotels (I think it was the conrad) about the breakfast benefit and was told there were only two places you could use the F&B credit at, too bad it couldn't be used in their food court..

Although not enough data points certainly Resorts World has accomplished another feat.Likely about the worst reviews in history of a luxury hotel(s)
grand opening. Are these folks just being grouchy? or is it the real reality/truth..
I'm looking forward to a solid Flyer Talk review to set the record straight and see if I will be disappointing for canceling
Also surprising not one review of someone that stayed at The Crock just one of someone that got walked which doesn't really count sadly
I would have expected far more reviews however I'm sure they will be coming
That said the Hilton folks must be printing be my guest certificates by the thousands.
Personally I would rather be a guest when they are prepared to provide good consistent experiences

Thank You for the post.
If there is one ray of sunshine in this complex this looks like the silver crown jewel.
Smaller amount of rooms more personalized service and the only brand that actually appears luxurious and elegant
from the videos and photos I've seen.We welcome a report.Inquiring minds really want to know.
Have a great stay

They are status matching but only the top tiers of certain programs (mLife NOIR, Caesars 7*, Wynn Chairman's Club, Venetian Piaza Gold). Who knows if this will change though.

They told me they aren't doing status matches and didn't ask what status I had. I'm only diamond at Caesars so sounds like it wouldn't have mattered anyway.

I stayed at Conrad over the 4th of July. I'll start with the (few) positives:

The pool is legitimately great. It was never too crowded or too noisy. One of the only benefits of being a Conrad guest is exclusive access to lounge chairs at one of the smaller satellite pools. That's a nice touch. Of course, you couldn't keep a tab open at the pool so the wait staff have to spend more time settling up the tab after each round. But great pool overall.

The service was great, from check-in to the pool attendants.

The rooms seem to have their own personal mini-fridges (and I do mean mini), enough for some water and booze. No coffee machine or microwave for reheating leftovers, of course.

The negatives:

The 66th floor bar and casino was not open. Major bummer.

The most disappointing part of the stay was the room. It was drab, sterile, and not functional. It was certainly not luxurious - no push-button blackout curtains, just manual (as in grab the plastic and pull, not even a pulley system). The bathroom had a zero-edge shower.... with no glass, only a curtain. Water ends up covering half of the bathroom. These rooms will not age well. The removable shower head was on a track that only let me raise it up to my face (I'm 5'9"). The lights by the door did not go off and weren't connected to any switch that I could find in the room. The furniture seemed beat up. There was no desk - only a small round table with no outlets nearby (so much for attracting executives and convention-goers in town for work). And it was noisy too. There was nothing that set the room apart from a new Embassy Suites or even Hilton Garden Inn. It's like the rooms were designed by accountants who have not only never set foot in the premier properties that RW strives to emulate (Wynn, Venetian, Cosmo, Aria, etc.), but also haven't even set foot in another Conrad. If this was my first exposure to the brand (and it will be for the overwhelming majority of guests) I would be underwhelmed to the point where I would write off the whole brand. The room totally pales in comparison to what you can get at Wynn/Encore or even the newly renovated Caesars rooms (Augustus and Palace Tower rooms). I don't even think the room was as nice as the new Virgin at the old Hard Rock. Just a total letdown. Hilton has completely whiffed here and they're letting RW completely trash their brand.

Appreciate the excellent well said review
I am so glad I canceled my reservation there rather than trust the brand as I came close to doing
This was my exact perception from the photos that Conrad was a cost cutting huge design mistake even brand damaging. And now you've convinced me
Thought maybe the photos were unflattering but not the case at all
Feel sorry for those who paid 1000 a night an up there for a suite and don't know the difference. One utube video guy was bragging about spending the 1k

The Hilton shows much better than the Conrad oddly (again perception) and Crockfords the best as it should be
I do think they may have hit their mark @ Crockfords and that should have likely been the Conrad & then another wing for Conrad LXR
Similar to Aria vs Aria Suites an exclusive brand within the same elegant complex just more personal service and even plusher rooms suites etc
One reviewer said the beds were hard at the Conrad can you share your thoughts as well as linen and pillow quality? @ Conrad VS the new Virgin Hotel ?

The bed was fine for me but I prefer a firmer sleep. The bathroom towels were actually mixed I think, most of them were Hilton branded and some of them didn't seem all that fresh or luxurious. I had a stash of Hilton free night certificates that are expiring at the end of the year so I kind of yolo'd them. It's a bit disappointing but I'm really glad I didn't pay the ~$500/night the rooms were going for when I booked the award stay. I'd be pissed. I haven't checked the Hilton prices but I guess if it was cheap enough I'd consider staying at the Hilton, but only after everything is opened (the spa doesn't open until this fall). If you have status I highly recommend the Virgin - chances are you'll get a pretty nice room upgrade to a much, much nicer room. You'll get the same daily F&B credit and end up paying half as much. The only thing nice about the room was that I got a strip view on the 33rd floor so I had an incredible view of the fireworks. That and the pool salvaged the trip. The food was only so-so, it did not knock my socks off like many of the Caesars or MGM venues.

And what boggles my mind is that they had people tour these rooms months ago, they have been finished for a while (at least some of them) and they still have these issues?

EDIT: The only silver lining I can think of as a guest is that if/when Marriott actually opens up the old Fontainebleau they have a perfect roadmap for how to not introduce a luxury brand. I hope they're taking notes and keep it a two-brand property (JW and EDITION).

I can't cancel our one night at Crockfords because my FNC literally expires that night, but I do appreciate your review. Honestly, being a dinosaur I'm perfectly happy with manual drapes and lights (our first stay at Aria we literally could not turn the lights on and off or even the tv). However, I believe I've read that RW brags of their up to date technology, so I can see where you might be disappointed.

I'm just going to use my certificate, stay at an LXR which I've never done, and just have a change of scenery for one night before moving to Palazzo.

But Hilton really seems to have a problem in Las Vegas....outside of most of the HGVCs that most people like (and of course the HGI, ES, HI, etc.), the Virgin, the W-A, the Elara, and the Trop, and now RW all get horrible reviews.

Good feedback thank you
Virgin bed softer or firmer?
Hilton Resorts World LV was running 139 dollars a night plus resort fee taxes etc or 44k to 49 k in HH points per night
I came to the conclusion go Hilton if at all and I perceive the Crock to look like a solid choice and has real room service

I think Crockfords holds some fair promise I would stick with it if I were you.It might even surprise you
They oddly seem to put most of their effort into it of the 3 brands @ RW

The Virgin is Hilton's sole redeeming new property in the Strip vicinity. I stayed there opening week, and it was really nice, good value, Diamond status appreciated, and even for a new property, the people were squared away. They kept a lot of the former Hard Rock staff (our bartender, front desk person both were former employees, and said a lot stayed on / were called back.) I would go to Virgin anytime, especially now that the new pool complex is open. It's a shame the Waldorf never took off and got their meh product up to par since it opened. It's also a shame some of this new place's budget wasn't put towards fixing existing properties (washed up Tropicana!) Hilton's offerings in Vegas are just cheapening the names of their otherwise mostly-good brands.

I can't help but wonder if the whole national "no one can get good help" pandemic zeitgeist of free-money-to-stay-home is contributing to debacles like we are seeing at the RW.
My airline of choice can't keep rampers and baggage employees leading to horrible waits, many local restaurants have signs pre-apologizing for limited hours and discontinuance of services because they can't get people to show up, etc.
I don't doubt that megaresorts have problems staffing up to the levels they'd need for maintaining huge properties like this at even a minimal level. Add in the heatwave, the "dispensary culture" folks that have started to line the Strip, the crime, and once-shiny Vegas vibe has gone downhill for me.

Heard the Tropicana was sold some months ago

I agree the vibe is off.in Las Vegas You can feel it with many of the front lines that work there.
It's been a hard year for so many and morale is in the toilet.Eventually over time I think it will change provided variants
don't wipe us all away from those that choose to not vaccinate
I'm down to trying out Virgin though I have heard complaints of cheap linens and uncomfortable pillows.
The Hyatt Place has extreme noise issues being so close to the runways so I don't stay there
I'll assume Virgin has the proper soundproofing
Love the Waldorf even with the old Mandarin O well worn hard product.
The team has been great to me with upgrades and the breakfast when open has typically been stellar one of the best in the city
I'm reasonably sure the budget to remodel got put on hold once the revenue stream went bust during Covid.
I know there was a big undertaking set to go forward over a year ago

I was going to book under Impresario for 3 nights at Conrad, but reviews have me reconsidering. I've already planned to use 2 FNC at Crockfords, so maybe break the other 3 nights into one night Conrad, 2 nights Hilton, to be able to experience all 3. Check my math, but it might also grant more HH points, where instead of triple points for 3 nights, it turns to double for the three nights over 2 stays, but if I get 7500 points per stay at any of the RW properties, that second stay worth an extra 7500 is better than the extra 1x if I stayed all 3 nights at one property.
