London Metropole

I am a Diamond HHonors member and will be using a free night cert to stay in London in February. Ive narrowed my choice down to either the Waldorf, the Trafalgar or Park Lane.

Myself and my partner will be staying. Im not too bothered about location; I know London pretty well and am happy to use the tube, but am wondering which location you would recommend based on ameneties etc.

Do I still get Diamond benefits even if staying on a reward cert?

Thanks for your help
Someone posted a few months ago that they did not care for the London Metropole. I stayed ther in June and really liked it. The lounge was nice with acceptable food and more-than-accceptable drinks. Quite a nice breakfast. I was in a huge newly renovated room, resulting from an upgrade. It is a block or so from a tube station and a 10 minute-walk to Paddington Station for a quick train to LHR.

Best Hilton in London?

I'm going to London for business, what are the top three Hilton properties there?

Many members have posted in similar threads, and extensively on London hotel properties threads. It somewhat "disHHonors" them to ignore the fruits of their labor and not search for their valued information.

Search using Advanced Search, for thread titles only, results by threads only, using the word "London". My search reveals 169 threads including "London" in the thread title. Good luck and enjoy.

I provided you links to some of those that are often considered the "best." Read a little and decide for yourself. While I've stayed at all of these, my favorite London Hilton is not usually one that people consider the "best" as you requested. But the one I usually stay at is convenient for me, is reasonably priced, and the staff has always treated me quite well.

The above threads compare properties, but few mention accessability.

I will have a 23 hour overnight layover in London in summer, my flight leaves at 7am the next morning, would it be reasonable to stay in downtown london, or just to stay in T4 or T5 property? Cost is an issue, so is convenience, I will not enjoy breakfast and for this stay dont care that much about property's ammenity?

(maybe early check in or access to shower in gym)

Any recommendations? I want to use points if possible or C&P.

Thanks

The first Heathrow Express should get you to LHR on time. I would consider Hilton Paddington. Not a fantastic hotel but not bad either. I would probably pick that option before a car service from one of the others.

Green Park. Excellent location, nice facility in converted space, well trained staff. Just doesn't get any better.

Yes, you are right... there are hardly any Hiltons in the London area... They should really add some more... urgently...
