Emirates has unveiled the new first class cabin for their 777s at the Dubai Air Show on November 12th, 2017.
Notably, the new F cabin is fully enclosed from floor to ceiling, has a reduction from 8 seats to 6 total, had virtual windows for the center cabins and features video-based room service ordering.
Business and Economy cabins have also been refreshed, but not completely overhauled.

Question to the experts of this thread: I know it's relatively easy with enough flexibility to find a single new F seat available with EK miles on the 777 between Europe and DXB, and that it's almost impossible to find two. But if I book one seat that's available with miles a month out, what are the chances that a second one opens up before departure? Thinking about booking one person in F and one in J and then bumping up the second person to F if it becomes available before departure, but no idea what the odds are of that strategy paying off or if it's more likely I'll just end up alone in J for 6+ hours.

Not sure what the odds are, but i am 2 for 2 using this strategy (so 100% strike record). Booked other half into F and myself into J originally, and then approx 3 days before the flight a second F seat opened up. Both times F was very lightly loaded, only 1 or 2 other passengers both times.

I've had that happen twice, once on the old A340-500 and once on the 777 new F.
There are worse situations to be in, although I won't deny I do feel a bit sorry for the crew member who has to sit around for hours with nothing to do while I'm asleep.
On my penultimate in new F, I was completely unaware that there was another pax in the F cabin until we arrived at DXB off-stand and took a throne bus to the terminal. I was in 1A, he was in 2K.

Just booked ATH-EWR on miles for me and the Mrs. This is still the old F with the 1-2-1 config. Two part question: with this config do the middle seats (E & F) have a divider that can be brought down? Secondly, thoughts on the chances of this being upgraded to the new F interior by June 2022?

On your second question about this being upgraded to new F, its really impossible to say at this stage as its so far away.

I'm trying to book one of the F's out of CDG on Feb 6th, but there only seems to be old 777F in the morning and then 380's for the afternoon/evening. Does anyone know which would have the highest chance of being swapped for the game changer F? Thanks!

It's pretty much impossible to say at the moment. I don't think I'd be booking any flight where I wanted a specific plane type.

Well I just flew out from NRT yesterday and can confirm its the new first class.
There are of course numerous circumstances in which people can fly to or from Japan - I am returning there in a few weeks. Having said that, I think it is unlikely HND will restart by September.
EK put on an event at the Mercedes Benz dealership in Roppongi just before the pandemic (start of February 2020) showcasing the new first class and together with promotional fares, sold quite a few tickets. I think it is safe to say that the new F will carry on this route for a while.

I trust in FT far more than I trust bloggers. Keen to know how accurate this is?

Ironically, he tends to take most of his info from FT (including some of my posts), but not on this occasion.

I'm keen to know what you think might not be accurate as he links to the actual planes with historical routes?? The only thing I might imagine would be inaccurate would be the claims of the new 1st product being the best in the World, but that is presented as opinion not fact...
I booked EK128 F which still shows the new F seatmap based on this thread. Granted its 2022.
