Flying ORD to DXB in a couple of days in business class. Flight is completely empty... think 5 to 10 pax total. I looked at buying an upgrade to 1st, but it was $9,000. Any chance I can buy a really cheap upgrade at the airport? Note i have no status on the airline.

forgive my ignorance: do you now have to pay to have a seat assigned in J? I thought this was only in Y?

I believe the game changer 777 was at LHR anyway, even when the A380 were flying. I think it was 3 A380s and the B777. They dropped the A380 again once the UK ban started.

I am pretty sure that for a while it was 4*A380. Not sure when that started (or ended), but on 25/12 when I flew DXB/LHR I am almost certain all 4 rotations were A380's

Could someone provide me with the airframe numbers for the planes with the new game changer F.... I know it was posted here earlier, but can't find the specific thread with that info. Also, I am guessing the answer is EK would not make the investment during this crisis in order to conserve cash.... but is anyone aware if EK used the the downtime of the aircraft to retro any B777's with the new game changer F? Thanks

No changes have been made to the current B777/A380 fleet.
