I’m trying to book some AS first class awards before they take it away. I can’t find any destination except to Dubai. It seems more of a scheduling issue than availability.

Does anyone know of any dummy itineraries I can book US-Anywhere with F space?

There were 2 days last week where they received the new first class. One (two) off it seemed, but availability was there.

FWIW the EK7/8 rotation DXB-LHR-DXB seems to be operating the 1-1-1 first class throughout this month. the other two rotations (EK1/2 & EK3/4) are on A380.

My wife flew the EK7/8 last week.
EK7 outbound - new 777

I saw on a blog that the middle suites with the virtual windows a provide more space. Is that correct and if so, what's the approx difference? Is it just the curvature of the plane so no additional square footage?

I tried both and honestly couldn't tell if there was much difference. It's spacious enough as it is.

It's mostly due to the full height of the cabin that's afforded to the middle seats. There's no overhead storage, so you get the full height in 1E/2F. 2A is slightly roomier than 1A too. As far as I'm aware there's no additional storage space.

In any event, the space in any seat feels significantly bigger than you think it would be from the photos.

Possibly most importantly for some is that there are more snack and beverage options in 1E/2F and 2A/2K than in 1A/1K., There are more magazines in 1E/2F.

The biggest deal killer for me about 1E has been the galley noise when trying to sleep, I'd imagine the same applies to 1K too although I've not tried that seat.

Frankly, the virtual view in 1E/2F is a bit of a gimmick IMO, but I guess it breaks up what would otherwise be a rather uninspiring wall.

Same as in the window Suites, there is a small cabinet/closet under the table. It's big enough to fit a rolling carry on suitcase. There is also the other closet for coats that can fit a backpack/shoes etc

Not a material difference at all, and not one that would make me want to give up a normal window (ideally in row 2).

I'll just add that I agree it'll take a standard cabin international rollaboard, but it's a fairly tight fit, so it probably won't fit if it's an "expandable" in expanded mode.
