EF is sending me aircraft change alers for 201 in March, but when I go to the seat map it's still showing 6 F seats. Glitch?

So it looks like both CDG and FRA are losing the new F product at the end of March.
Is there any chance the schedule is not finalized yet and CDG & FRA could continue getting new F?
Or could they re-introduce new F on these routes again after summer?

Finally flew the Game Changer JFK-DXB-JFK. Maybe this has been discussed. Is it me or is the seat angle flat and doesn't go all the way flat?

The virtual windows are INSANE. So glad I picked the middle suites.

I just booked JFK to MLE (EK 204) in F and the Emirates booking agent said that it is the old 8 seat F class. Where do you look on Expert Flyer to confirm the airframe number? When I search the flight and seat map on Expert Flyer, it also shows the old 8 seat arrangement.

Expertflyer does not have airframe info...at best it has seat map configuration but there is simply no way to know which exact airframe. Also as above, EK201/202 has the new F

Bummer. Didn't realize that...

Does Emirates open their revenue tickets to rewards availability at some point prior to departure if the seats haven't sold? There is currently only revenue availability on all EK202 flights for the next few months.

You can ask for an award waitlist for a single flight on a single day but YMMV depending on the agent.

Award seats on EK202 (or any new First 77W flight) these days are few and far between.

Never tried that. Is that conjecture or from experience? Would be interested to learn whether EK has actually cleared an award F seat waitlist on a new First 77W.

Well, they were willing to waitlist me on the 202 flight the same day. Here's hoping.

Hi SFO777!

I booked JFK-DXB-BOS (better positioning through BOS on the return). Skywards would waitlist ONE flight only so I had to choose carefully based on the various loads listed on EF. A couple other reps said waitlists didn't exist. One rep said you could choose two flights, but I wasn't ready to pull the trigger at that point. So YMMV based on who you are talking to. I waitlisted EK201 and received the following e-mail:

Youre on our waiting list

Hello saaveraward,

Thanks for your booking.

Weve waitlisted you for the below flights. You can check your waitlist status at any time on XXXXX.

Well send you an email as soon as your flight is confirmed asking you to finalise and pay for your booking, if required. Your confirmed flight will be cancelled if the booking is not finalised within the specified time. You can also read our conditions of contract.

We're looking forward to welcoming you on board.

The Emirates team

Exactly 30 days before departure I received the following e-mail:

Your waitlisted flights are confirmed

Hello saaveraward,

Thanks for your booking your flights are confirmed and your itinerary is below.

Please get in touch with us within XXXXX New York (local time) to finalise and pay for your new booking, if required. After XXXXX New York (local time), well cancel your original booking.

We're looking forward to welcoming you on board.

The Emirates team

So yes, this worked out perfectly. The flight went out 5/6 too.

BTW - Thanks for the tip on Siddartha Lounge. It was great. Unfortunately, Bar 44 was closed due to restrictions.
