Emirates has unveiled the new first class cabin for their 777s at the Dubai Air Show on November 12th, 2017.

Notably, the new F cabin is fully enclosed from floor to ceiling, has a reduction from 8 seats to 6 total, had virtual windows for the center cabins and features video-based room service ordering.

I'd go along with that, although the lure of 1A is often too much for my OCD.

Even a soft shell rollaboard (e.g. a classic Tumi) not expanded but at full capacity (thus a little swollen) struggles to fit into that space. It’s a small, but tangible, downside of that cabin.

Funnily enough, that's almost exactly what I use, a classic leather original Alpha two wheeler rollaboard.

It's not as consistent as it was pre-COVID. The red highlighted ones do not have new F, only new J.

Spoiler

I flew EK8 LHR-DXB new 777 F this week. My Rimowa roller bag doesn’t fit in either wardrobe, I just had it (with my duffle bag) under the television for take off and landing. Crew didn’t mention anything. Last time from memory I think they stored them both somewhere else.

In any event, the space in any seat feels significantly bigger than you think it would be from the photos.

Possibly most importantly for some is that there are more snack and beverage options in 1E/2F and 2A/2K than in 1A/1K., There are more magazines in 1E/2F.

The biggest deal killer for me about 1E has been the galley noise when trying to sleep, I'd imagine the same applies to 1K too although I've not tried that seat.

Frankly, the virtual view in 1E/2F is a bit of a gimmick IMO, but I guess it breaks up what would otherwise be a rather uninspiring wall.

Great pics. Thanks for your detailed review of each F seat in the new configuration.

Is Emirates currently flying these birds to any other cities in Europe on a regular-to-somewhat-regular basis besides:
Geneva
Brussels
Frankfurt
Vienna

I don't know how up-to-date the wiki is with COVID

STN isn't operating?

Does the 24 month change option with no fee apply to award tickets? Here's my question: I want to fly JFK-DXB-XXX in Europe. Let's say XXX isn't allowing pax and I know this before taking the first flight. I then want to change it to JFK-DXB-JFK. This is a different region and also requires different mileage. 168,750 flex plus vs 217,500 flex. Will EK allow me to rebook by just adding 48,750 miles and no change fee? Or am I way off on this one? Thanks!

This is correct. DXB-STN is not operating at the moment.

Wiki is definitely not up to date though I just added the JFK flight and noted STN as suspended.

To follow up my own question... I see EK75 to CDG is showing the new product in winter. I don't know the exact change over date.

LHR seems to be getting it daily at the moment according to EF on its EK7/8 rotation, on top of its two A380 rotations EK1/2 and EK3/4.

North America Route

I have yet to try the new EK F, anyone know if they have flights to North America? I see CDG-DXB also have 777, is that the new F as well?

It's on JFK until 27 March (I think), it's on CDG with an end date somewhere around March then it switches back to the old first class.

CDG (EK75) is currently back to an A380. Hoping it's just an upgauge for the holiday season and doesn't roll in to the 2021 schedule.
