Interesting as this now means EK have 3 A345 and have yet to announce what to do with them.

Entebbe ends 25 March
Beijing 30 Apr
Accra – Abidjan 31 July

The Entebbe service was duet go 777-300 from 01 Dec to free up the A345 for St. Petersburg but it seems this 777-300 is now to be used for Tunis.

Get one of those A340's on a second GLA

MucEKPer Jan 2, 2012 10:25 am

EK.com schedule is no longer showing A340-300 to Dublin from 28 Oct!
Showing A332.

This means along with some changes on the Hyderabad route the only A343 flights in W12 will be
Venice-2x Daily
Hyderabad-1x Daily
Nairobi-1x Daily
This can be done using only 2 A340s.

Routes so far for 01DEC12 onwards:

A340-300 Routes:
EK526 DXB-HYD
EK719 DXB-NBO
EK135 DXB-VCE
EK137 DXB-VCE
Meaning 2-3 343s being used.

A340-500 Routes:
EK725 DXB-DAR
EK133 DXB-DME
EK175 DXB-LED
EK077 DXB-NCE
EK705 DXB-SEZ
EK705 DXB-SEZ
EK125 DXB-VIE
Meaning 6 345s being used. Where are the rest? Maybe yet to announce frequency upgrades?

JTXC Jan 3, 2012 9:40 am

Is CMN going to be, or has it been already, upgraded from 345 to 777?

CMN is already upgraded to the 77W by then.

Would it be a 343? I would think it might be a 345 since Emirates intended to get rid of all of the 343s and would think they would keep the 345s around instead of the 343 due to the cabin. But then again since the 343 does have the poor first class, I wouldnt be surprised since they are just going to include first now!

MucEKPer Jan 3, 2012 10:23 am

I would also suggest A340-500 either Eff 01 May(Beijing Aircraft) or Eff 01 August(Accra Aircraft).

Also does anyone know how the Geneva route is doing?
If it is doing well I wouldn't be surprised if it upgrades to 772,773 or 77W and the 777-200LR goes on the second daily Venice (77L has 1 seat less the a343).

ADD-EBB (with A345) ends 25 March but TUN will get the A345. EBB will get the A332 from TUN. So it's just a switch. ADD will get a A332 (don't know where's this one is coming from)

Another intersting point: VCE (double daily) and NCE (daily) will get the A345 next winter. Right now I don't see where these A345 are coming from. More changes to come!

Nice will get the Lagos A340-500 from 781/782 which is going 77W.

Is the 1st, 2nd or both Venice flights going A345?
I would bet my money on Cape Town, Moscow or Vienna going 777.

There are still 2 routes to be upgraded to A340-500 on 1st May(Beijing goes 777 ) and 01 August(Accra – Abidjan goes 777)

EK77W Jan 3, 2012 11:17 am

VCE: both flights (standing: 3 weeks ago). Now it's the A343 again.

Didn't noticed EK781/782 will get the B77W (Private Suites) next winter but EK timetable shows this.
