Some kind of seafood. I'm in Copenhagen and it's all I've been eating. I'll be going to the Kodbyens Fiskebar tonight so we'll see what sounds good over there.

WorldLux Oct 23, 2016 2:13 pm

Sometimes the classics are best.

Vaucluse Oct 27, 2016 4:33 pm

Chicken Picatta. Nope, got it from the frozen aisle at BJ's.

JY1024 Oct 28, 2016 9:35 pm

Crappy ramen at a "Japanese ramen and sushi restaurant" that's clearly just a mediocre Chinese restaurant establishment that's trying to punch above its weight. :td:

Pork tastes like Chinese roast pork instead of Japanese chashu. Too much noodles for the amount of soup - and pretty poor quality noodles. (Though at least cooked al dente.) Odd assortment of toppings - raw cabbage, corn, Chinese seaweed, one slice of fish cake, raw bean sprouts. Only saving grace is the 1/2 egg that's cooked pretty perfectly soft-boiled.

Moussaka. Delicious!

kipper Oct 30, 2016 2:04 pm

I smoked a turkey breast last weekend and made stuffing to go along with it. I used bread cubes, onion, red bell pepper, chunks of apple, chicken broth and dried cranberries. And I realized that what I like most about my usual stuffing is the sage sausage, which I left out this time rather than make one more run to the store. Big mistake.

cblaisd Oct 31, 2016 4:31 pm

You also left out the cornbread ;)

I want to try stuffing with sausage sometime. It apparently won't be this Thanksgiving though.

Celebratory dinner with my mother. We're going to Local 22 in Durham, the same restaurant we went to for my law school graduation. Tonight we're going to celebrate my first full time lawyer job.

w/Poulet de Bresse?

Tonight is a cool weather favorite, oven roasted Turkey thighs with lots of roasted veggies: parsnips, sweet potato, fennel, onion, carrot

Leftover veggies get made into soup later in week.

ILuvParis Nov 14, 2016 9:50 pm

Vegetable soup and French fries. (I volunteer at a meal for the homeless on Mondays and that's what was left over tonight!) Lucky I never met a potato I didn't like! :D

It's been a cold and rainy weekend in Houston, so dinner tonight is chili! Been simmering in the crock pot for ~7 hours now so it should be good and ready! I get hungrier every time I go and give it a stir.

Can't decide between steak or chicken…

corky Jan 18, 2017 4:01 pm

Butter lettuce salad with gorgonzola, dried cranberries, sliced almonds and apple cider vinaigrette. Grilled salmon with apricot/red pepper glaze, broccoli with cheese. Half a sleeve of girl scout thin mint cookies from last year found in the back of the freezer.

Seriously?

United first class frozen whatever. But last night I had Reza's in Chicago. I love good Persian kabobs (lamb and chicken) dill rice and grilled tomatoes.

livencali Jan 25, 2017 8:24 pm

Nothing yet, but I have a seasoned turkey breast in the refrigerator that I don't know what to have on the side of it. I want to roast the turkey breast, but the only time I eat turkey meat is on Thanksgiving and Christmas and that's with stuffing (dressing etc) macaroni and cheese kind of thing that I can't eat outside of the holidays as I am trying to keep calories low.

Maybe a baked sweet potato and Brussels sprouts or roasted root veggies if you are trying to keep it sort of healthy?

Presently preparing to put a tray of fresh garlic & ginger marinated chicken on the grill, to serve with white beans/habanero sauce and a salad of beef tomatoes, red onions, touch of finely chopped garlic with sliced black olives.
Just poured a tasting sample of Murdoch James Estate Pinot Noir 2014 from NZ.

The forecast for tonight looks bright.
:)

My family and I will be enjoying Indian Food while watching the Superbowl. Incongruous I know, but also tasty.
