You're in Osaka, the home of okonomiyaki and octopus balls (not what you think). Be adventurous for a change. Try them.
Benito flakes on pizza.... dancing pizzas would be cool.

supper at Ippuku, Berkeley - a no photo policy place. Really yummy.
st Bernardus beer
warm sake
skewers
Braised pork belly
chicken ramen
grilled onigiri
sweet omelette with grated ginger or daikon
very yum for sure. Better than Rintaro which has to force a time limit because commercial rents in sf arent cheap!
granted im the type who would refuse to eat Asian food in Europe or pizza in Asia yet we all enjoy our preferences.

I am not going to visit Japan and pass up some of my favorite pizzerias in the world. Different strokes for different folks, and Im definitely against the norm - always have been, likely always will be.
I waited an hour in the cold wind for Regalo in Osaka, but my lasagna pizza with ham and ricotta was worth it. Regalo is a one-man show where the chef is the waiter and table-cleaner, as well. Pizzas are also only 1600 yen.

Escargot and halibut - Grand Princess Botticelli dining room. I inhaled the escargot. We hiked 7 miles, all of it hilly.

I do it all the time. When I visit NYC I always bring back slices to freeze for a rainy day. I do the same with pizza at a spot I love in Vegas and sometimes bring some from Detroit. On NYE I ended up with a big pie which I ate for breakfast and dinner for a couple days & put the rest in the freezer. Just don't even think of microwaving it to heat it up.

Kukje carryout after dropping the family off at warriors:
short rib galbi
spocy pork with rice
tofu / bonk choy to cook
bancha
Monday:
assd leftovers
my guess is that everything in Japan is going to be globally best based on high standards.

Maybe in jest; nevertheless —
and not Uyghur, but I once had some leftover Sichuan cumin lamb, and I made a pizza from it. That was thoroughly delicious!
I think it's all about the balance of the dish. Anything can go on a pizza, as long as the right other things go on too. 😝
