We ordered pizza from Ottos (local chain) last weekend and it was $10 more to get the Date Night Combo #2, which was two small pizzas, a Caesar salad, tiramisu, and a bottle of rosé for $45. Mr Gfunk likes weird pizza toppings (he got the spicy pulled pork and mango) and I got the spinach, garlic, olive, and Beyond Sausage.

I haven't yet tried the rosé...

That sounds like a decent deal!

I’d have gladly shared either of those pizzas. But I would have peeled the cheese off. :p

Peeled the cheese off? Geez, what is wrong with you! :)

Lactose intolerant. I can sometimes digest the cheese on a Little Caesar’s pizza. Which is probably not a positive indication.

Leftovers of Baked Oatmeal with Berries and Almonds. Warm with cream.

I suspected and wonder if you can make pizza at home using cheese substitutes or lactaid or other products to enjoy the pizza.

or less Skim Mozza cheese while having some cheese.

I've noticed that as well.

You can have goat cheese or sheep's milk cheese if you are lactose intolerant. I am not but I always make my pizza with goat cheese because it is so yummy. You can also have aged cheeses like long aged parmesan.

I can confirm this. Tested my friend's gut when we lived together for a few months. He could easily eat goat cheese and balsamic pizza. Not 100% on the parm but it should be true.

I am not really a veggie person. I may eat a vegetable side maybe one or two times a week if I am eating out, which is not much these days. At home, I have frozen broccoli, spinach, corn, and edamame (if you consider soybeans a veggie). Most of my meals are chicken or steak with no sides. I have recently been eating a little bit more of pork chops as they seem to be the cheapest meat out there right now.

I've made it a point to add in a vegetable when I'm eating at home, and have been omitting a starch more frequently.

I do eat aged cheeses. Anything over 6 months. I learned that from ordering from Carr Valley. Have you ever eaten a 10 year old or cave aged cheddar? Amazing, especially after 10 years with no cheese at all! Also anything from Cabot is aged enough to be lactose free. I did not know about goat/sheep cheese. I will experiment at home. Vacation is no time to risk that. I do make pizza at home and go half and half. Mrs BV wants real mozzarella. I’m not keen on veggie based “cheeses” but sometimes that’s all you can do.
