Fear instant noodles?
Many hotels have a microwave, or at least a kettle for hot water, that you pour in the cup-o-noodles. After the plane ride, why would one need instant noodles when they can eat other quality hotel food?

the person mentioned bringing instant noodles for plane travel. Did they really bring it with the plan to NOT eat it on the plane?
After the plane ride, why would one need instant noodles when they can eat other quality hotel food? Waiting 30-60 minutes for room service, after you’ve been flying for 24+ hours is the last thing we want to do. We’re not spending $1500 a day at a hotel like some. |

Quality hotel food? Expensive and slow, in many cases. Most of the instant noodles are under a $1 a cup. They make a fairly satisfying meal, and are ready in 5 minutes or so. My wife brings a few on most trips, for when we arrive late at a hotel, or don’t want to spend $20-30 for room service.

Thursday night:
online poker with some friends with amaretto and ... raw vegetables - carrots, celery, red pepper, cucumber tortilla chips with pico de gallo maybe a scone. I now forget. and now post-sushi luncheon and big Safeway fun, I’m having leftover curry chicken despite plans for supper with my spouse while our child has a movie night: meatloaf (from grocer) mashed potatoes (best recipe book suggests russets) cauliflower ala girl & goat |

I also want this. I too want the Reuben. :D |
The Reuben was delicious. Or the half of it I ate was. I also got a baker's dozen bagels, so if the bread is too soggy, there is so much corned beef that I can make a normal size sandwich on a bagel tomorrow.

Rump cap (a hugely under-appreciated cut – the Brazilians swear by it) reverse seared with a bit of hickory smoke over it. Served it with roast potatoes and a salad (not pictured lol)
