I asked why then, does the JFK-LAS leg show as mileage credit based on ticket price. They said there was nothing they could do, and to write a complaint and was left on hold for about 5 minutes before the line disconnected.

At a loss for next steps to be honest.
Sadly cab take HUCA more than once.

Credit is given for schedule date of flight. No need to ask for ORC.

ORC is for rebooked flights.

Wondering if this would qualify for ORC. I booked a KL flight with a KL flight number, LAX-AMS, and used a GUC to be moved into Z. KLM cancelled my flight, and I was rebooked LAX-SEA-AMS on DL-metal with a DL flight number but still in Z. My MQD earnings should have been over $1k on the KL flight, but instead they were $200. Any chance I could get ORC for the $1k MQD difference?

You should be able to claim ORC for your original KL economy booking, which if it was one of the higher fare buckets would be 20% of distance or 1100ish, yes.

You'll earn based on original economy booking. Earning based on upgraded Z class is a fluke due to how it posts. However if they manually must credit, You'll get credit how you're really supposed to.

I had a similar initial reaction, but OP was only asking about the original economy booking; if they were asking about Z earning it would've been closer to $2200 in MQDs.

n00b question. On Dec 26, a Sky Club agent was extremely helpful in rebooking me from the Midwest to New York. (I was supposed to fly to SDF on DL, continuing on to NYC on a separate AA ticket the next day. Due to IRROPS, I wouldn't have made it in time to SDF; that trip became useless to me. The agent went above and beyond to get me straight to NYC.)

Here's the thing. I was rebooked on AA. Asked the agent if he can put in my AA FF#. However, agent said if he did that , I wouldn't be able to earn miles on DL. I went for the AA# anyway inin order to receive Gold benefits.

Sorry for being so verbose, but I just wanted to tell the full story to indicate the agent seemed to know what he was doing. Is the agent correct or can I still get ORC with Skymiles? (AA miles have already posted.)

Shouldn't be a problem. I have called DL to request ORC in instances like this in the past. Have always managed to earn UA/AA miles in addition to the ORC Skymiles.
Caveat here is I have never had a DL agent attempt to put UA/AA info in. I've always done that myself or had a UA/AA agent enter my info in after getting rebooked by DL.
I think you should be eligible for the ORC based on the paid ticket you had to SDF.

If DL sees you credited to AA, they can deny. However this is a YMMV situation.

I had called once more and had a very sympathetic agent who told me that the SM team only could see the DL class O and directed me to call VS and have them change the ticket. I didn't call back after that and ended up doing a run to SLC to get the rest of the MQDs--ended up doing some skiing too for the day.

I wrote in for feedback about the last two agents and the entire ordeal, perhaps DL will throw me a bone in the form of SM in 2-4 months when they get to it.

Sadly agents aren't likely correctly explaining to SM department the issue. iWrite in a "complaint" and attach copy of receipt. Sad that takes this much work.

Wondering if ORC will apply in this situation.

I was booked with SkyMiles LHR-SEA-SNA (all DL operated) in Premium Select (main for the domestic leg). DL21 from LHR to SEA cancelled (auto rebooked onto next day LHR-MSP-SNA, DL operated) so I called and was rebooked to VIR105 LHR to SEA and DL SEA-SNA same day as originally scheduled.

My question really is, since award tickets normally only earn MQM/MQD when on DL Metal, can I use ORC to get MQM for the Virgin Atlantic leg.

Boarding pass shows Premium/G for the LHR-SEA leg and Y for SEA-SNA.

By 'the agent' you mean a DL agent? You should have never mentioned anything to the DL agent, just waited to put your AA number on the American ticket once it was issued, otherwise Delta would have had no way to every know you credited it to American. Even now if you simply ask for original routing credit because you were put on American Airlines I think you will likely have success, no need to get into the details of the frequent flyer numbers. I don't believe that ticket would have ever posted correctly to Delta without manual intervention after the fact.
