For the seat key, there is an area to tap at the top of the area where the map is loaded that will display the seat key if you tap on it: Screen shot

First, thanks for putting this together. Glad to see Delta's effort here. A couple of other suggestions for future versions:
- Love the ability to see my place on the upgrade list. However, once upgraded, can the app automatically update my boarding pass with the new seat? It would be nice not to have to wait for the ticket to come out of the machine.
- Don't automatically log out after a fixed period of time. Similarly, better offline functionality would be nice as there are many airports where cell phone coverage is limited around the gate area. Last week (still using v1.4, so this may be a moot point), I was scrambling at security trying to get a cell phone signal -- I checked in at the office before driving to the airport, but was automatically logged out by the time I got to the airport. Had to start from the beginning (log in using Skymiles number) to access my boarding pass.

Okay I have what's probably a dumb question. I just used the app for the first time to check in for my flights. It checked me in just fine and I get a message that says "You are now checked in. Go to a kiosk to print your boarding pass." There's no sign of a mobile boarding pass on my phone that I can see. Where do I look for the mobile boarding pass? I have an Alaska Air flight in my itinerary (coded as a DL flight) if that makes a difference.

The other consideration is how many passengers were being checked in. In a multi passenger scenario you need to check them in one at a time to get mobile boarding passes. In an upcoming release there will be a message in the check in flow to alert multi passenger itineraries to this requirement.

Question about mobile check-in. I have not used the mobile check-in feature in months due to the fact that when I was checking bags, it automatically tagged the bags as having "special" items in them, so I was not able to use the SkyCap or Kiosk, but had to go to a counter to check my bags. Since I normally check bags, this deterred me from using the app for mobile check-in. Thanks for any input!
Edited to Add: I just did mobile check-in for my flight tomorrow and noted that this issue still exists. I see no way on the App to change it, but my check-in luggage was tagged as containing "Special" items that would require me to go to the counter. Fortunately, I was able to go online and change it to no special items, but that kind if defeats the purpose of the mobile check-in.

What was the route? I would need to double check with the developers, but I believe that the first leg needs to be a city the supports Mobile Boarding Passes.

She plans on printing her boarding passes anyway, but I wanted to check her in using the app so she can receive the bonus miles.

The point of the post was not whether or not I could pay for bags. With all due respect, please read the entire post. As a GM, the bags are free. The point is that if I do mobile check-in, and am checking any luggage, the system automatically tags the luggage as containing "Special Items" and as a result requires me to see a counter agent rather than being able to drop the bags with a SkyCap or via the kiosk baggage drops. The only way to change flag to "No" on whether the luggage contains special items is to go to the Delta web site and perform the check-in all over again and change the "Special Items" flag to "No", thus eliminating any benefit of mobile check-in.
