I have not used the mobile check-in feature in months due to the fact that when I was checking bags, it automatically tagged the bags as having "special" items in them, so I was not able to use the SkyCap or Kiosk, but had to go to a counter to check my bags. Since I normally check bags, this deterred me from using the app for mobile check-in. Thanks for any input!
Paying for bags within the application is also a feature we looking to make available.

The first boarding point is HSV, so there wouldn't be a mobile boarding pass. You could still do the initial check in via the application for the extra miles and then get the printed boarding pass from another source (online, kiosk, etc).

You are correct, the issue with allowing international check in is collecting travel documents (passports, visas, etc). This is another feature that we're looking at getting in as soon as possible.
