I wonder if you had marginal data signal strength when you did your checkin, and perhaps the barcode graphic didn't make it to your phone. Can you check in again and if so, does the barcode graphic appear? If not, perhaps removing the app and installing it again would be a workaround.

It would certainly be interesting if this workaround works, as it might tell the DL app team they need to add logic to detect and refresh partial/incomplete boarding pass barcode graphics in the event of issues like this - or else not allow partial/incomplete boarding passes in the first place, which would allow customers to simply check in again in the event of a transient problem.

Trying to check in 5 min after T-24. App logs me in and presents screen with top box where 1st item is 'View My Trips (3)', 2nd item is: 'Check In: LGA to MSY', and 3rd item is 'Boarding Passes (2) which are my old boarding passes from last Monday.

Tapping the Check in' brings up a window which tells me that I can log in after xx:xx and displays the T - 24 time, which is already past.

I can restart the app an tap View My Trips which then gives me a 'Check in' option which works.

Exactly the same for my wife on her Droid (both Samsung Charge, OS 2.2.1 Version 1.5.1).


As an aside, we'll be happy to check this daily if you'll comp us to destinations of our choice. ^

I have the Android app 1.5.1. on a Droid Incredible. I would like to see the upgrade list but no where can I find out how to do this. I am leaving from SDF tomorrow, and the airport doesn't support the mobile app, so is this why I cannot see the upgrade list? I am upgraded for the first segment out of SDF, but not the second segment out of ATL and would like to see the list for that segment. I already checked in on my laptop and printed my boarding pass. By the way, Delta.com doesn't show the upgrade list either on my laptop, which it still should, right?

Has anyone had problems changing seats with the new app? I can see my seats, and when I select a new seat it appears to change. But when I go back into the seat map I still have my original seats. Changing them on delta.com still works fine, but not with the new app.

This is weird. Now the upgrade list shows up, over two hours after I checked in. It started showing up on both the Android app and on Delta.com.

I'm running Fly Delta version 1.5.1 on Android version 2.3.3 on a new LG G2x device. I receive the usual notification to check in at T-24, but when I attempt to do so, the app informs me that I won't be eligible to check in until T-24 (which, of course, has already passed). I receive the same message many hours later when well inside the eligibility window.

I had the same problem with my previous (much older) Android device.

Any thoughts/suggestions?

change seats still not working

multi-airline itineraries

I recently flew a multi-airline itinerary that included DL segments and a segment on US (all on 006 ticket stock). When looking at the reservation in the mobile app., the US segment was shown with the correct flight number, but it was incorrectly shown as a DL flight. This also resulted in the app. pulling flight status information from a flight that didn't exist in my itinerary.

I have not experienced any difficulties checking in using the mobile app, whether I'm using the check-in link from the app home screen or from within my itinerary.

checked bags recorded as "special items"

For several months now, whenever I select bags > 0 while checking in with the mobile app., they are always showing as "special item" in the DL system at the airport (kiosk and information seen by TAs). My version has no option for this, so it must be (incorrectly) set by default.

When seat assignments aren't working, do you happen to notice the same behavior if you were on delta.com? Also, are you trying to assign seats when you weren't assigned seats before?

Can you give an example routing with flight numbers? We can look at it and see what is going on.

Are you going over a free allotment? If so, the current version of the application will mark the bags as special items during the check in process. The next version of the application we are working on will allow you to pay for bags as well as specify special items.

One problem I'm seeing is that I continue to get alert notifications on flights on which I'm no longer booked. This happens when my itinerary changes and flights are cancelled. The old flights no longer show up in my itineraries but I'll get gate notifications for them anyway.

Same here. I generally check one bag (and am allotted three when flying domestically in first class).
