Hello,
I just got a Nexus 5, and with it is Android 4.4. I checked in via the Delta application, and the process went smoothly. However, when I went to view my boarding pass, I was greeted with a white screen and then a message to contact customer support. I'm not 100% certain this was absolutely due to the new operating system (I checked in on Android 4.3, and viewed the boarding pass just fine last week), but it seems as though there may be a problem.
Just wanted to pass that along in case there is indeed a compatibility issue between the latest Delta app and Android 4.4.

While we are at it Danny...any idea why I never get TSA-Check indicator on an Android boarding pass even if a printed one would have it? There are some airports they won't let you into the line if the indicator isn't there.

The easiest way to try and get to the bottom of this would be to email [email protected] with the reservation details to try and track down why this would happen.

LAX flight status
Before touchdown at LAX this past weekend, I noticed that the app is still displaying incorrect information for flights arriving at the AS gates. The app showed our correct gate (68B), but showed this as T5 when 68B is in T6.

Android Delta
The last two times I've had flights delayed the upgrade list has disappeared. I can still see Medallion Upgrade Requested, but I can't view the list. I'm using Fly Delta version 2.4 on a Galaxy S4 running Android 4.3.

Same issue, same phone, same OS. Once you pass SKD, even if you were still on the list, the list is no longer viewable.

Does anyone know, can I pull up old boarding pass from say a month ago?
Also, does anyone else see the "bug" that under Travel Preferences & Loyalty then Flight it shows your SPG number but SPG is not a drop-down choice?

Yes. Same for mine (but my crossover points are posting properly, so I've just left it alone).

Delta broke the android ap...
I have a Samsung Galaxy S 4G phone with Android Gingerbread OS 2.6. Unfortunately, as of July 2, Delta apparently modified their app to require android 3.0 or higher. I had a version on my phone that worked well; all was fine until I had to do a factory reset which wiped out all my downloaded apps. Now, Icannot use the Delta ap as it requires the 3.0 or later OS. I am not willing to buy a new phone just to be able to run the Delta app. Thanks Delta, NOT. Just another black mark on Delta as far as I'm concerned. Maybe it is time to try another airline? I have over 1M with Delta already.

My phone has a bad habit of lowering the light level when it feels like it. This often strikes just as I want to scan it to board. I think the Delta app should prevent that while it's showing the boarding pass.

Agree. The Starbucks app actually does this quite well. It forces full brightness when the barcode is up on screen.
Another thing I'd like to see is a way to "lock" the BP screen on by double-tapping it, then unlock it by double-tapping again (or some specific swipe movement, whatever). Every so often when I'm scanning my phone or handing it to a SC agent to scan me in, a button gets hit while the phone is being handled that either turns off the screen, backs out of the app, or otherwise goes to something that's not the BP barcode. Would be nice if I could just make a quick gesture, handle the phone as needed to get it scanned, then make another quick gesture to return to normal operation.

Old thread, but Danny_DeltaeCommerce's participation here makes this thread the best and most consolidated place to ask the following question:
For 2015 level app ware, which platform is best for Delta's mobile app?
By "best", I mean reliability, functionality, usability, and feature set. The reason why I ask is because I have noticed SIGNIFICANT differences between the Delta App version 1.7.2 for iPhone 4 version 4.2.6, versus the Delta App version 2.61 for Android phone version 2.3. Between these two, I have found the Android version of the Delta App to have far more features, with a much better interface, than the iPhone version of the Delta App. On the other hand, the iphone version was much more reliable and less likely to hang or crash, which has been a regular occurrence with the Android app.
I plan on buying a new phone and/or tablet, but haven't decided which kind to get yet. One of the considerations to this decision is how well the current version of Delta's mobile app performs with each platform.
- Android phablet? (eg Samsung Note 4)
- IOS phablet? (eg iPhone 6 Plus)
- Windows tablet (eg Surface Pro 3)
- IOS tablet (eg iPad Air 2)
- Android Tablet (eg Samsung Galaxy Tab x)
Any input on the current state of the art in Delta Apps would be mightily appreciated.
