I wonder if you had marginal data signal strength when you did your checkin, and perhaps the barcode graphic didn't make it to your phone. Can you check in again and if so, does the barcode graphic appear? If not, perhaps removing the app and installing it again would be a workaround.
It would certainly be interesting if this workaround works, as it might tell the DL app team they need to add logic to detect and refresh partial/incomplete boarding pass barcode graphics in the event of issues like this - or else not allow partial/incomplete boarding passes in the first place, which would allow customers to simply check in again in the event of a transient problem.
