ATL-SNA DL#1251.........I ended up being #21 of 42. Zones 1 & 2 rushed to board the plane. How "elite" do I feel? At least it was a 757 which is larger than the typical 737-700 DL flies to SNA. When will Delta permanently have 757s on this route? Seriously, it's oversold every time I fly this route!!
In November I will reach PM for the first time. Is there really anything I should look forward to in the difference from GM to PM?
Please let me know.

This morning I was on DL 2343 ATL-EWR. I was #2 of 98 ppl as a GM. I guess #1 was PM or DM on full Y fare as well.
I SDC'd to a different flight on Sunday eve which put me on a red eye from LAX. Somehow after the SDC, I was booked on full Y fare. No idea how exactly that happened either but I won't complain.
I got several several mean glares from DM/PM's as I boarded when F was called. My plastic GM tags don't clank like DM's but i felt pretty good as I breezed by this morning. I definitely had a little internal DYKWIA moment haha.

2 or 3 weeks ago out of SNA there were 56 on the list, 5 seats available- I was on a SLUT fare and made it as number 3 on the list..... COULD NOT believe it. Still don't understand it.

If that flight out of SNA was a SkyWest DeltaConnection, I have no trouble believing it. I mostly fly on SkyWest. My UG% has tone from 30% as a GM to 100% (19/19) since I made PM back in early July. There's a ton of GMs out here in the west.

For upgrades, the highest I've been is #42/42 (Silver Medallion, T-Fare) going out of West Palm Beach to ATL, and that was with about 3-4 open seats left. Thought that was bad but I guess nothing compared to what I've seen on here haha.
Where the Medallion Status did come in handy: Back in December I missed my flight to GSO (last flight of the day, 2 days before Christmas). Knowing there was a chance I could miss my GSO flight before I even left for ATL, I asked about being protected onto an RDU flight. I was given a seat into RDU and told it was "confirmed". I went to the gate for RDU after missing the GSO flight and went to get my seat assignment. There were, I think 3 seats left on the flight (1 in F, 2 in Y). Because of already being disrupted once that day and having Medallion Status, I was #2 of about 45 on the STANDBY list for the 3 remaining seats. Most people either spent the night at ATL or just sucked it up and rented a car and drove to NC. Thanks to my Medallion Status, I was one of the lucky ones that made it out night no doubt and was just happy I made it home for Christmas.

MSP-MEM #3 of 65 on an MD90 today.
The sad thing is overhearing #40 talk to #41 about what they think their chances are of getting up front and hearing they think they have a chance.

DEFINITELY can tell that the end-of-the-year swell is getting noticeable.
I found some routes where I was 100% on upgrades (all in advance except one--though some later than the 3-day window) for several weeks in a row. This week I missed by around 40 (of 67 left) after all 22 upgrades were processed at the gate. I will also miss the upgrade on my connecting flight, as I am 16/37 for 2 seats.
Furthermore, I got 0/3 window upgrades for my flights on Thursday.
And this is as a GM on $1,300 H fares.
