That won't happen until 2010, in my opinion, as CO Insider already has stated that they have no plans to increase the Plat threshold in 2009.

But I only need 38K points this year to qualify for BD Gold, which is *G. Of course, The Diamond Club program will get subsumed into Miles & More and that will change things, but there really isn't a "standard" number for all of *A.

It's been publicly said that there are no plans to up Plat to 100K. So, i don't think we'll see it in the 09 year. 2010 is anyone's guess. But, truth be told, i'm not sure how much I would mind it.

Yep, works fairly well. There are not enough public spaces in southern California to handle everyone (especially when you consider the normal nightmare of parking) so they pay people $50 to use their garages. They are staffed by state and local election officials so it's all cool. Not a bad idea, really. But it was certainly a change from what I was used to when I grew up in Texas.
