My prediction came true: UA is now raising award redemption level to those of Continental's.

Next: Continental will raise the Platinum EQM to 100,000 to match that of UA's

That won't happen until 2010, in my opinion, as CO Insider already has stated that they have no plans to increase the Plat threshold in 2009.

But I only need 38K points this year to qualify for BD Gold, which is *G. Of course, The Diamond Club program will get subsumed into Miles & More and that will change things, but there really isn't a "standard" number for all of *A.

At least they backed down on the 500EQM thing.

It's been publicly said that there are no plans to up Plat to 100K. So, i don't think we'll see it in the 09 year. 2010 is anyone's guess. But, truth be told, i'm not sure how much I would mind it.

Yep, works fairly well. There are not enough public spaces in southern California to handle everyone (especially when you consider the normal nightmare of parking) so they pay people $50 to use their garages. They are staffed by state and local election officials so it's all cool. Not a bad idea, really. But it was certainly a change from what I was used to when I grew up in Texas.

That's great! I need to find some pictures of that. I can't imagine voting next to my neighbor's lawnmower. :)

Congrats!! ^^

I'm planning on hitting 12K later this afternoon, if I don't end up working too much.

Never have I witnessed so much Post-Whoring. Will this unclean feeling ever wash off?

I just voted. Not a single person in line. I was in and out in 2 minutes tops.

I went with my wife and kids at 9AM - no line and no waiting. ^

Impressive, considering how big the early voting lines were in some places.
