Okay, Members of Box, what are your thoughts on the best time to take an air tour of Kauai? My big a$$ finally found a solution that does not punish me for my height or weight and I am looking to surprise my wife with a flight next week. The big question is what might be the best time of day to get the best views, weather and photos? I was thinking mid day, but did not know if anyone had any direct experience with helo or plane tours.

For those interested in adding another plane type or simply avoid being reference on a slow news day (kauai seems to have the most issues with, um, very hard helo landings), here is the company:

I voted about 10 days ago. Took just over two hours, start to finish. But I was glad I got it done, since with this job I'm never at home on the actual day of the election.

I went on a helo tour in Kauai in the mid-afternoon. You want to get it in after the morning clouds burn off and before the afternoon showers roll in. The lighting at that time was also very nice to illuminate some of the valleys you may fly in to and through.
