I left home at 8:40 AM EST this morning. I arrived at the hotel in Texas at 10:40 PM CST. I could have driven from Atlanta-Beaumont in about the same amount of time, without even breaking the speed limit. And I thought flying was supposed to be fast.
Note to NW: Please rip out the awful F seats in your CR9s and install the F seats that UA has in its CR7s. They are 100 million times more comfortable. |

Canada frequently doesn't stamp US passports. But if they don't do it automatically, just ask and they will.

I missed celebrating my 2000th post in The Box. :(
rolov - my Vancouver and Victoria pictures can be found here. I missed my 1500th post It went by so fast in the now famous "AMS" thread |
I woke up extra early to go vote. The place where i am supposed to vote is only 4 streets north of my apartment so I walk up and at 6:45 am there is a line that is 2 CROSSTOWN blocks. I asked someone who was close to the entrance how long they had been waiting and they said people started getting there at 4:30 am and the polls dont even open until 6 am. It looked like Best Buy on Black Friday. Ill attempt to go back after work.

Anyone know why the seat maps for the 737-800's are showing 5 rows in F?

My polling place is across the street from my apartment. Literally 60 paces to the registration desk. There were people in line, but not that many. I was through in 14 minutes, based on my post times in the AMS thread. Good luck getting through the line tonight. |
Rock the Vote, Box! Morning, all.

Voted (legally) last week here in Ohio. Wasn't sure if I'd be home or not today... so that saved me a wait in lines today.

Morning Box
lines at polling places I saw were around the corner, looks like a good turnout. Not sure if it will be a good outcome though ;) |
I really thought the news was joking when they said the turnout could be as high as 85%. If true, that would shatter the record from '80 or '84.
