Is it wrong that I'm so excited about the opening of T5 @ JFK? I have no idea why I am, but I'm really looking forward to seeing it operation. I'm actually going out to the airport tomorrow to hang out in the new terminal. I'm also getting to meet some B6 employees/FTers, which will hopefully be fun.

And I finally bought half of my ticket to my brother's graduation in ATL in December. Yesterday all the flights were $319 r/t on an I fare. Today, $179 r/t on an X fare. Oh, Revenue Management, how fickle you are... :p

I'd like to see T5 with people in it as well, as it was a really nice tour that B6 did for us. Unfortunately, the only way I can be persuaded to fly from JFK is if I have no other option for a TATL nonstop. Short of that requirement, the only other time I've transited JFK was when WO still had scheduled service. I think I was about 3. I didn't know better, and it was free.

Vietnam Airlines underwhelmed me. Service was spotty. Smoking (by the crew) was going on which annoyed me. Food was okay. I won't be rushing to fly them again.

I had to change my CX flight tomorrow and now will overnight in HKG instead of going on to XMN. I am a points h*. I can't handle staying at the airport so I'd rather waste time and spend it at Le Meridien Cyberport instead. Seems silly for 8 hours in the room (and if the flight is on time, I'll be able to get at least one of my free drinks in at the lounge ;) ) but I can't stop myself. I thought about trying the W HKG, but for over $100 USD difference, no thanks.

Just woke up from my first FTer nightmare!

I dreamed that when I got to the security check that they had sizing guards for carry-ons (like the UA ones but this was an oval one with about 12 inches diameter measure. I then went to the airline counter to check stuff and agent helping me walked away mid-assistance and the other counter person had a melt down. Oh, did I happen to mention that I was in LAS flying United and they were having a movie premier at the D Gates?


Like I said it was a night mare. lucky I have some therapy this weekend, four flights on CO and one leg upgraded already. LOL.

Airline-specific nightmares....film at 11. :D

Morning, Box. My mission today with little choice but to accept it:

1. Reach out to the only real hotel in ACY proper...apparently they're hiring.
2. Find out if I really have to pay all the fees associated with a substitute teaching application...I did it once before and my fingerprints haven't changed. Why should I have to pay the State of New Jersey to find out what I already know? :confused: :mad:
3. Get some eBay listings up for some pieces of my prodigious collection of Hard Rock Cafe pins that is doing nothing but taking up valuable underbed space.
4. Get all of this done by 7pm so I can comfortably watch the Devils and Stars in glorious HD.

Yeah. I have close to 2,000 pins from all around the world. Some of them I refuse to sell because they were gifts or they're part of the original collection that my mother gave me. The whole Hard Rock collectibles thing was kinda her idea about 13 years ago now. It used to be a profitable and fun hobby to have, but Hard Rock realized how many pin nuts there were and decided to flood the cafes with crap, nicely diluting some of my valuable old-school stuff. I have to fish out the stuff I don't want and research the value and all that loveliness.

It just plain hurts to move. Whatever I screwed up, I screwed up quite well. I have to get out of chairs slowly, etc. The pain has gone down, but the sharp twangs and occasional spasms still aren't fun. Thanks for asking - I'm getting there.

She's finishing up an away rotation at Memorial Hermann Children's Hospital (not TCH). Usually, she's back in Cajun country treating people for catfish-sticks and inbreeding-related disorders.
