Yeah, he put on an amazing display of flying that, IMHO, could not have happened on or over US soil.

Then again, the Malev 736 that buzzed the crowd may not have impressed the FAA either!

Oooohhh...I like that. I was thinking about trying to do a RTW fully south of the Equator, but I might be convinced to hop back up to Turkey with a routing like that.

Always a pleasure to distribute the latest aeroporn. :D

Back in Houston for one night. I must say, I miss this place. I had some great fajitas and margaritas with one of my best friends and his wife, and ran into another FlyerTalker and his partner at the restaurant.

Anyway it was a fun evening out with old friends in my old home. I'll have to schedule more of these one night layovers in Houston on work trips, starting with next Thursday night, when I'll be back in town for one night again.

Don't know if you caught today's repeat from Rotterdam - Kirby wasn't watching what he was doing and 9 G'd his neck into the back of his seat. Visibily in pain as he got out of the cockpit, but to be fair, I don't know how old the tape is.

And that second thing I don't even wanna touch...I'm too jealous to go near it.

I cannot wait to get home tomorrow and have some mexican food! Just had a great time with SFOGATE ^ which made our layover fly by.

ssullivan, did you plan a mini do for the week of thanksgiving?

In ABQ for diverted flight SFO-IAH - let me say - it's been quite a ride!!!! WOW!!!! We're still awaiting the new plane to take us to IAH. I think the ABQ firefighters enjoyed dressing up for Halloween early this a.m. The GAs have done a terrific job. I am not so complimentary on the in flight crew.

Did one of the two engines hang on until after landing? That could have been really interesting.
