I'm gonna pack it in; long day of cleaning, moving, scrubbing and rinsing tomorrow.

Night, Box.

Thanks. ^ I have the white chili recipe from Don Pablo's, and it never hurts to have different takes on the same dish in the recipe arsenal.

I hear ya!^

On an unrelated topic, I chatted w/onlyairfare this evening -- it's great as we can sooo relate, in so many ways & she could definitely understand my 'quest for Plat'!:D:-:

I am making myself grade (e.g. feeling somewhat better).

The quoted recipe is actually my own creation. :D IIRC, belynch made the recipe that was in CO's magazine recently. Glad you enjoyed it! I made up a batch and a half last weekend and froze a bunch.

It does pack a nice heat to it. Probably not too hot to our TX-based Boxers, but I have to make it milder than my target recipe for some of my family. If I were going to amp the heat more, I'd probably add something other than the chipotles in adobo, as the smoky flavor would be a little too overwhelming.

Sorry - bdjohns1! -- I totally spaced -- was on the phone & just remembered that belynch was the one who had mentioned making the CO magazine recipe! Kudos to you!^

I am going to freeze a bunch! I actually toned it down a bit -- but that's me!;)

Does anyone have the CO magazine chili page handy?

And for the true chili nuts out there, see if you can track down the winning chili recipe from Emeril's firehouse chili cookoff in either 2000 or 2001; I forget which year, but I'm leaning toward 2001. The firehouse that won with a recipe called "White Heat" that was a turkey chili was Engine 40/Ladder 35. They are housed near Lincoln Center; 66th and Amsterdam. On the morning of 9/11, 13 of their guys went on the call. One came back.

you can find it at: continental.com/magazine!^

:( Football season is over. Final score 34-28.

The other team was good but my son's team did have 3 opportunities to score but failed. My son finally had a pass thrown to him and he gained some yardage. ^

The other quarterback went to the same elementary school as my kids. He was known as the boy that brought a gun case, complete with unloaded gun and bullets, to school. He was expelled that afternoon.

You mentioned secondary immigration examination. Is there one prior to arriving at the gate? I'll be there in two weeks for 4 days. I just read this page of the thread, but how many days were you in Amsterdam?

We were there Wednesday afternoon-Saturday morning.

At AMS there is a passport/immigration inspection point immediately after checking in, before entering the area of the terminal where the gates, shopping, and lounges are located. There is another inspection done as you enter your departure gate, immediately before proceeding through the x-ray machines and metal detectors.

I managed to get through the pound of shrimp and the remaining turkey. Not doing well enough to get dishes done but otherwise OK.

Isn't MEM-AMS also a 332?

It was a 333 today. Pretty close to full in Y, with only 10-12 in C.
