I'm about to call EUA shenanigans. I still haven't gotten my EWR-SEA upgrade for Thursday.
I hope things are back to normal by then. |
So, tomorrow I will arrive at work, and we will try and decide how to advise our clients with the estate planning rules in play (we think) as of January 1. Apparently, we should advise all wealthy folks to transfer unlimited funds to grandchildren and future generations, as the generation skipping tax no longer applies. If one transfers funds into a dynasty trust in this environment, one can keep money out of the transfer tax system forever. ^
I don't believe for a second that this will actually be the advice we give... |

Did anyone else, for just a moment, kinda hope the mob facing the TSA would rebel and take back the airport?
I too have joined Club Nintendo, and I found several old-school games that I want to get. Pilotwings came out for Wii, and I loved the skydiving. ^ |

Do it just for the halibut.
Question for those who know South Florida better than I: how bad is traffic on I-95 between PBI and the north side of Ft. Lauderdale? I need to go to FLL, would like to leave mid-afternoon so I can get to the hotel before 10 pm, and US and WN have no flights PHL-FLL between noon and 6 pm. Options are to leave late, which I don't want to do; to take the train to EWR and fly CO (adds an hour to the trip); or fly to PBI and drive down. |

I-95 is fine, I've seen times it is even running faster than the turnpike (which is out of the way west from PBI)

Have you considered PHL-CLE-FLL? I just plugged in PHL-FLL on CO.com and got some freakish itineraries. If you want to go to FLL via DEN and IAH, or via ORD and YYZ, it is out there for the taking.
Plus, I flew CLE-FLL enough as a kid on the way to visit my grandmother...and I think PBI is the only decent-sized airport in Florida I've never been to. For this kind of trip, during which I need to be at work early the following morning, I typically like to leave at 3 or 4 pm the day before so I can take daughter #2 to school, work from home in the morning, etc., while getting to my destination early enough for a late dinner. I'm surprised co.com is spitting out itineraries via YYZ; I don't think that regulations permit flying from an origin in the USA to a destination in the USA via Canadia. |
We just finished dinner -- we had leftovers, and I made turkey enchiladas. I used a green chili sauce, which turned out excellent! We made a turkey in early October and that was the source of the turkey (we ground and froze the turkey leavings).
Wow, USC could have used Mark Sanchez this year. :( |
Evening, Box.
Been lurking! Back to school tomorrow for the young 'uns - yeah! :D:D:D Digging begins again tomorrow in earnest at Lake Brit. I shall be bundled up and out taking photos and video taping. When I figure out what/how to do it, I will post images for the Box to view. Going to bed now. Good night, all. |
