AUS Do signups are available. Two of the four spots in my vehicle are taken, so there are two open to Box denizens who are coming to AUS at the end of February. PM for details.

Wow, they moved it even later. I flew it back in '05/06, and it was a ~6p departure. 8p would be about the perfect time to depart ORD to minimize jetlag.

It's actually 8:55pm after looking at it again. It arrives at 12:30pm in MUC which is fine with me.

UA marketing Dept is blowing money like it grows on trees:

Billboards in ABI about MID to DEN service. ABI is an AA stronghold, and those that don't want to fly AA on an RJ out of ABI certainly won't want to fly UA on an RJ out of MID on a longer flight, they will just drive to DFW!

btw this is a pic while driving down the road at 60mph, so I know it isn't perfect!

My NRT ticketing was one at the mercy of J.Edward. I'm on two tickets, one to SEA and one SEA-IAH-NRT-IAH-SEA ... I'm hoping to SDC from the red eye SEA-IAH flight to the afternoon departure.

I'm sure there is an advertising subsidy by the airport authority that is paying for these. @:-)

Have any of you seen the sign on the NJTPK near EWR advertising flying out of ACY? "If you flew out of ACY you'd be there by now!"

I expect you didn't miss us too much, given that you were in the sunshine and having a great time!

Thank you, Brit. Wasn't very sunny in Helsinki or Stockholm, but I enjoyed playing in teh snow. :D

Np. Current fare is good until 4/30.

This may make me rethink doing an award itinerary for Easter. May use this fare to hop down to CUZ for a day or so, if I can get it to price on the relevant dates.

Word to the wise... use SK on daytime flights back to the US, if possible. The angled-flat seat is far too steep to use on an overnight itinerary, IMO, but the food and onboard service make SK well worth it for day flights. ^^^

In my case it was about the time off. If I did the red-eye from SEA on Thursday I avoided an extra day off.

In the end, it doesn't matter as I ended up on the bench this week.

That still makes no sense to me.

Fifteen minutes to drive from Fifth Ave to Sixth Ave.

I am not finding any public disclosure of subsidies...

I think those billboards are there merely to remind North Jersey that South Jersey does still exist.

Yea -- I had to decide that when purchasing my EWR-SEA ticket. In the end I decided it was worth it to try to get to IAH earlier.

Even with the billboards, North Jersey still doesn't care! :D
