Good that they had me at that time - they weren't offered anything by the airline and didn't know about the possibility of getting a day's worth of clothing / toiletries until I told them. No one else in my family flies - this aunt/uncle travel once or twice a year.

Gee, I guess that nice newspaper article quoting SWA giving an instant $25 voucher for expenses was incorrect. CO has us refer the customer to our Baggage Resolution Center for money but we have toiletry bags in our office to hand out immediately, if needed.

Your aunt and uncle are lucky you know the ins and outs of this business.

Yeah, somehow the 'chauffeur' part of the 'parent' job description is not highlighted enough!;):D

There was no chauffeuring in my days.

UCLA finally decided to score. UCLA-USC could get exciting.

I hate being a taxi driver. And a short order cook and cleaning lady and laundry person....

It's a good thing that they will still give me a hug and a kiss.

I was doing my own laundry by 14 and cleaning my room was my responsibility. I even had to vacuum my room but anything with a motor was cool to me.

My daughter is doing her own laundry. Her room is also her responsibility but the door is closed for a good reason...I hate looking at the mess.

My son does his laundry every now and then but mostly I do it since I can't stand the smell. Think locker room.

We only have two rooms with carpet so that's my area to do.

We had a live-in maid when I lived in Puerto Rico. But I was still required to do the dishes, much to my dismay. I remember telling my mother that our maid must be the only one in the world that had her own maid: me.

I can still stack a dishwasher in 15 minutes from table, raising the dishes to starting the dishwasher.

I tell you -- not having a housekeeper (when I returned to NJ after almost 5 yrs in SP) was one of the hardest 'readjustments' to coming back to the States!:rolleyes:

On a separate note -- I have 6 more posts to 1500 in the B:rolleyes:X!
