Thanks for the 'heads up' -- not a 'regular' Rite Aid consumer -- but would frequent same if it's 'beneficial'!:D;)^

Speaking of publicity....

It looks like our own SFOGate had a cartoon recently about her in the WSJ that I have been meaning to post!

Are these similiar to the ones they hand out for the shower rooms? A black zip pouch with comb, tooth brush and toothpaste, hair spray and deoderant?

Yes, I believe they are the same....I've not seen the shower ones.

One of my history teachers in high school made it sound like so much more than what kids think it is (rote memorization of names and dates) and I want to teach in that style. It sounds cliche and trite but it's true for me: if I can affect just one kid's life (especially with the way society today is progressing) I'll feel like I got something out of it.

Thanks for saying that you think I could hack it in a middle school. :) I tend to disagree right now, as I subbed for a 6th grade last week and that one day made me not want to touch that level again.

I'm an elementary teacher by degree. When I was student teaching I had to do two separate levels, 1-3 and 4-6. I did one month of the 5th graders because I liked that age group and three months at the 3rd grade level because I needed much practice to just tolerant them. To my surprise I totally loved the 3rd graders as they were still in love with their teachers and had little behavior issues and wanted to learn.

My high school history teacher used novels to teach US History. She was interesting and made the subject come alive. No memorizing silly dates or names of Presidents. My algebra teacher forced us to keep a journal of everything he wrote on the blackboard, which was a great way of reinforcing his lessons. Those two teachers were the reason I wanted to become a teacher. Due to the issues in the racial state called Hawaii, I could never get a job.

Before you go that far, consider the opportunity cost. Are the alternatives (and losing Flex EQMs) any better?

I've already figured out how to get more than $100 in products I use along with more than $100 in rebates.

icurhere2 Nov 29, 2009 11:11 am

Just placed an order with Staples, using my Teacher Rewards check (free ZRH backpack) and a special coupon code. $25 of Sharpies and a new high-back manager's chair for $12.64.

icurhere2 Nov 29, 2009 11:11 am

I'm now motivated enough to make breakfast, at 1211.

No! -- I'm not 'that' short-sighted!:D I would definitely keep the PP MC -- just close the 2 business ckg, 2 personal ckg & 1 svgs a/c's that I currently have there! Wish I could convince my business partner to close his business a/c -- but will stay out of that!;)

Am gonna do a Staples order (via ShopOP!) as well, today -- have several coupons (like ink rebates) to use -- & a 'small business' credit, too!^
