Has anyone flown out of EWR today? Wondering if the chaos has subsided since last night. I'm on 1401 to FLL tomorrow at 700am, and I really need to get out on time.

The airport is back to normal. Still some residual delays, especially on 757,767, 777 flights. Keep an eye on your flight status and where the aircraft is coming from later tonight. Wind isn't helping current matters.

:mad: I wonder why it is different? I have 46k DL miles and my wife has 16k. We would rather have gift cards but at a 6:5 ratio its really not worth it.

ETA: I wonder if they marked my account since I have redeemed before and they know Im probably willing to redeem at a slightly higher rate, saving them $.

I carry the SkyTeam USA AmEx and have about 8 times your combined RDM balance at the moment - I think "high balance" / "low balance" is pretty plausible.

Heading outside for round #2 of shoveling snow. It hasn't stopped snowing all day, and we've had an additional few inches since this morning.

Power failure at DCA. I'm sure the TSA being able to screen at 2 of 4 checkpoints made those who were scheduled to fly out of the other two concourses happy ...

I'm still getting 1:1. And using miles for staging is a nice idea - I have $240 in WN credit dedicated to that purpose.
