Yea -- I had to decide that when purchasing my EWR-SEA ticket. In the end I decided it was worth it to try to get to IAH earlier.

I drove 12 hours yesterday - stopped in BNA (an hour from home) to use one of the Costco Hyatt certificates at the Hyatt Place BNA. In addition to the discounted cert, there's the matter of the double-stay credit, half-FFN, G2 bonus, diamond bonus, etc.
Last night should have completed my first FFN which i'm hoping to use in Tokyo this coming weekend. |

I meant to tell you, after your heavy lobbying of Hyatt, I've decided to give them another shot.

Is it dumb of me to book a room using points at the W Hoboken just to try out the bed before we buy one. The rate is $189++ or 4,800 SPG and $90 or 12,000 SPG. Normally I would consider this a waste of 12,000 points and would go with the cash+points but I dont have any money to spend on a random hotel night and I want to make sure we like the bed before we buy it.

Not sure why you're splurging on the W hotel kit anyway. I'm sure you can get the same quality pillow-top mattress at a retail store cheaper than you can via the W store. Pillows are a different story. |

IMO, yes. I've found the Hotel at Home products to be different (generally higher quality) then what you find at the properties. This might be due to the "wear" hotel beds and bedding get, or it could be different products (consumer vs. commercial).

Life never ceases to bring drama to my life -- found out that while I was in PVR -- my house in COS had the pipes burst (pilot light went out, so no heat) & so water flooded the basement & part of the first floor! So, on top of everything else, have more on 'my plate'!
On the plus side, I did get my 'scuba diver' certification & am very pleased to have accomplished that! (I didn't complete to 'open diver' -- as the conditions on the first day of ocean dives were horrendous & I just wasn't up to dealing with it!) Hope everyone else is healthy & happy in this new year!^ Hope everything works out goodly in the long run! |

Why add more than 10% to the cost by staying in the hotel? Does it come with a, "We don't like it!" guarantee?
