A big fat :td: to DL.

I attempted to change our return to the nonstop instead of going through CDG given all the .

Even though they are seats, they refused to budge. This should make for an interesting trip back. I hate CDG.

My thought is to eliminate the top 3 or 5 megacities on each continent. I am also going to limit the number of bases available to each player.

How many bases do you plan to allow, any less than 6 is really a boring game to play, just IMO. (mix the 6 domestic/intl and it is ok) 8 would be more ideal, don't allow an unlimited, or i will run away with the game in a week :D

On the flip side, the departure of our DL direct flight home changed from 10:00 to 9:55 and they offered to move us to the flight through CDG (to get us home later) for no charge.

That's DL for you...

Well well, they will not allow us to go past 2009, so I am going to need to rethink the aircraft.

Call back to SkyTeam USA - I was able to change CDG-AMS-ATL-IAD to CDG-IAD citing my concerns "time allocated to security could make first flight late, which would destroy the whole itinerary". This required me being moved from a KL/SkyTeam USA itinerary to an AF one. This was my second platinum waiver for 2009, though.

Hmmm. I have PresPlus. Does that mean I only need 10 stays to be diamond? Might be worth buying some Hyatt vouchers from Costco and doing some fake stays in the area.

I'd be wary of expecting to be Diamond with ten stays (ie 5 before Jan 31, 2010). I know for sure that no matter who you are if you do 13 in January, 2010 you'll make it -- and get 6.5 FFN credits!

That was my question about picking the modern aircraft, what about a 737 with 2500 mile range for a starter? Or, a Tu-334-100D....It is a sweet plane.

1,000 would be my diamond amenity - at the HP, there's a G1 but the diamond amenity is only 500 points.
