Just got a call from the lender; rates are going up so we're locking in at 5% today. Kinda feel  about it but it's better than more later.

Simple computer math: 128 * 1024 = 131,072. :D

Sorry, but 5% still aint bad compared to the national average of just over 5 1/4. Im at 5 1/2 and a point

You won't be able to get exit rows ahead of time, I don't think, but E+ is still better than regular coach anywhere else.

Valet parking certainly does have its upside - I get to drive in Center City Philly all day and ogle the women and their boots. Plus my garage has a Dunkin' on its opposite corner. :-:

Tweaked my back moving furniture for the other half, gotta work 2-10, and then turn around and go back in at 8am. I keep telling myself that it's good to be working and that I'm doing what I have to. That being said, I come home every night and look for jobs.

We will soon find out if I bought the correct size in long underwear.

And now comes the part where I brave the cold yet again...

You actually like driving in Center City? Really?

We will be in Center City tonight. If you see someone you don't recognize saying hello to you with his wife :rolleyes:ing at him, that will be me.

5% is still awesome, historically.

Yeah, I'm calming myself down. I think I got my brain locked into 4.75%. It's just a couple grand more over the life of the loan. But you guys are right, it could be a lot worse.

Sorry MM
You don't get to do exit rows but in truth, you don't need it since there is plenty of pitch in the non-exit row E+ seats. In my opinion, the best seat on the A-320 is the D bulkhead row seat (aisle), but you can't snag that one early either.

Well, I suppose that's better than nothing. Most of the legs I would be on are regional jets of some type so there may be more availability.

Of the faculty I went drinking with, I can't say I went out with the thesis advisor.

That's all 3P will do for you.

I did. The grad students, post-doc fellows and faculty all socialized together on a regular and routine basis. We were a very tightly knit group.

I guess you guys have been elite too long. I have never held elite status with an airline before, and heretofore was required to pay for F which severely limited my ability to travel due to excessive spend. This opens up doors previously very, very closed. ^
