That is why I like IC. I get to stay at lots of HI's for work and go to Intercontinental Hotels with the points that I earn.

IC doesn't charge as many points for the stays IMO either...I know they don't just throw points at everything, but seems quite reasonable, and some fo the cash+ points offers are superb.

And you're not taking advantage of double stays / FFNs?

My problem with Hyatt is that there really are no Hyatts in the places I get to go to, such as Shreveport, Cape Giradeau etc. and there really are very few inexpensive Hyatts anywhere. That can't be said for HIs

Same for me, for the most part, there are some Hyatts in SoFla, but all beach oriented, and I need more mainland.

Thanks...but it means I have only one more day here. :(

Good evening Box. I'm going to get some sleep so I can fully enjoy my remaining hours here.

I think you're wrong. I think you still have to start out from zero. I'll find out for sure in a few days, though.

The end of the decade?

I have also found that most (not all) HI's are quite reasonable budget hotels. Most give you free WiFi and they will give you a discount on your breakfast if you have any status at all. The beds are comfortable. They are certainly better than the Ramadas I have had the misfortune of staying at. They have good promotions as well. Finally, they occasionally can give you good rates on rental cars as well. I do not think they are any worse than Fairfields or Hamptons (except for the free breakfast).

Speaking of which, did you notice the last of the pending upgrades cleared? :D
