Yes, it is. When I was a teenage in the UK, it was much more serious a show. It is far better now that it is actually funny.

Was it the same guys?

My new passport arrived yesterday, so I am a bit more relaxed now :) However, in true government efficiency - they sent the new passport, and said that I would receive two more packages: the passport card, and the old passport.

You'd think they could send it all together, but that would be far too efficient and economical.

Do they send them regular mail, or does someone have to sign for it? My new one is on its way as well, and I won't be home to receive it the day it's supposed to be delivered.

Yes, it was Jeremy Clarkson and the other older guy, but not the younger guy - can't remember their names at the moment!

Just got back from Madrid. The flight there was ok since we were in an exit row and no one stunk up the toilets. Hilton really underwhelmed me for an international location, basically no difference between Gold and Diamond. I believe this was my last stay in a HH as a Diamond before it expires to Gold in Feb and I'm not going to miss it. On the way home I got an :Dp-Up only to be downgraded as we boarded because someone from a later flight or another flight moved to our flight and was in paid F so I got my original seat back next to my wife. She wasn't thrilled when she found out I got upgraded but I think she would have forgotten about it after a few weeks too.:(

ETA: We went to Toledo yesterday and thank you to those who recommended it. I think there should be a rule that if you go to Madrid you must take a day trip to Toledo.

Glad to hear you guys had a nice time in Madrid and Toledo!

How did the (temporary) op-up come about? If you were seated back in Y, I'm guessing it wasn't because the back was oversold. Our BCN-JFK flight tomorrow is zeroed out in the back and showing 9s across the board up front - I can dream... :)

The W Barcelona is quickly becoming one of my favorite Ws! We were upgraded to a Cool Corner Suite with amazing views of the Mediterranean (from the 16th floor, it feels like we are literally hanging over the water) and Barcelona and the staff we have encountered has been absolutely wonderful. The only downside I can really see is still the location (it is not very close to any of the touristy things) but it is still very peaceful.

Agreed. That is a phenomenal trip. At least what I remember from doing it almost 20 years ago was.

Sorry to hear about the un-op-up.

Had another phenomenal tapas dinner here in BCN tonight. Ready to be home but damn the tapas are good. I love that I can have 5-8 different things for dinner every night. And that the booze is reasonably priced. Going to be investing rather significantly in Spanish Brandy upon return home, methinks.

My CDG-JFK flight sat on the ground for two hours as we waited for more folks.

 Can't wait.
