I will be a contrarian and suggest AMA, purely for a visit to Palo Duro Canyon...

(not my pictures)

It's next on my list of places to visit in Texas. However, there is not really much else to do in AMA, except trying to stuff yourself with a 72oz porterhouse at the Big Texan Steakhouse, or checking out the Cadillac Ranch...

I abhor nanny tag.

SAT is a fun town, especially if you haven't spent a lot of time there. My parents won a trip to see the Oilers training camp way back when so we spent an inordinate amount of time in San Antonio over the next couple of years. So much so, in fact, that I didn't go back for a long time. Now that I'm married, it's a lot more fun and can be romantic at night (especially during the holidays when the lights are out on the riverwalk). Though, the first time I took her to SAT she was sick as a dog and we didn't do much and the second time we went was the day after our wedding and they had drained the river for its annual cleaning.

We're scheduled to go back the day after Christmas with her parents so her Dad can visit the Alamo (he's a big fan). If anything, it's always good for a Texas History refresher.

That's low even for US. People aren't going to care how safe the airline is when their bags disappear and they are left to deal with the PHL phun squad of US employees.

could come to GRK for the little known but nice Koreatown.

I see 5-8 Koreans every time I fly GRK in the morning, coming or going from connections to Korea.

Also some interesting military bases and facilities,in fact you fly into the Army Airfield.

I take the infamous "clear" every day and used to do manny juice as well. Guess you and I can join Mr. Rose on the outside looking in.

AMA is cool, but once you've seen Cadillac Ranch and Palo Duro Canyon, you've seen the main attractions.

I would suggest doing AMA, LBB, and MAF in one swoop.

All you need to do is get a TUE (Therapeutic Use Exemption). I've had a number of steroid epidurals in the neck but had no chance of a baseball career post college.

GRK is an easy drives distance from Waco and Austin, along with the more scenic country like Fredricksburg, Marble Falls and Kerrville.

A whole lot more to do than AMA, or LBB....

My wife has a three day training in Salado next week so we're staying in Temple and I will venture to GRK for a bit of seeing what the hell is in GRK. :)
