I will be a contrarian and suggest AMA, purely for a visit to Palo Duro Canyon...
(not my pictures) http://www.andreafisher.com/images/t...uro-canyon.jpg http://images.dpchallenge.com/images...ted_547366.jpg http://www.landscapeimagery.com/paloduro04.jpg It's next on my list of places to visit in Texas. However, there is not really much else to do in AMA, except trying to stuff yourself with a 72oz porterhouse at the Big Texan Steakhouse, or checking out the Cadillac Ranch... |

TxTag tolls are actually cheaper than Pay By Mail. It isn't an exorbitant sum but still.

I really want to go back to SAT. I only had one day in the city, what with being a Basic Training kid and all.
We're scheduled to go back the day after Christmas with her parents so her Dad can visit the Alamo (he's a big fan). If anything, it's always good for a Texas History refresher. |

There was an article earlier today about US potentially trying to tie their branding to Sully, so people think safety and qualified pilots rather than US being US ...

I see 5-8 Koreans every time I fly GRK in the morning, coming or going from connections to Korea. Also some interesting military bases and facilities,in fact you fly into the Army Airfield. |

AMA is cool, but once you've seen Cadillac Ranch and Palo Duro Canyon, you've seen the main attractions.
I would suggest doing AMA, LBB, and MAF in one swoop. http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2491/...2899facaea.jpg |

GRK is an easy drives distance from Waco and Austin, along with the more scenic country like Fredricksburg, Marble Falls and Kerrville.
A whole lot more to do than AMA, or LBB.... |
