I wonder if JJ will seek to make a move into IAH once they enter :-:. CO's hub ops here would offer a very convenient central U.S. connecting point to funnel connecting pax onwards to just about anywhere in N. America...

With the new Envoy seat, that will be one of the best :-: options in F for Mainland--->Hawaii.

I have not flown on the refurbished US 762s -- I have given up flying US TATL in favor of train rides to EWR -- but reviews on the angled seats on the US forum are mixed at best.

They used to have it throughout their Airbus fleet -- even in Y -- but then decided that this made them too attractive for business travelers and they turned it off.

I don't think JJ has enough longhaul equipment to do much US expansion.

Any interest in a Up in the Air mini-DO in NYC in Nov?

She's in recovery, no room yet, so no place to stash all of the crap important items I am toting around and get something to eat.

Sigh.

Last time I had to wait for my mom, the hospital gave me a restaurant style pager to buzz me when she was ready to be seen.

That's it, I'm moving to NJ. I pay $3.19/gal in lovely Northern California. A mere 20 miles away from the nearest refinery. :td:

I'm always surprised by the lower gas prices out west(UT, AZ, NM) but then I realize the octane is only 85.

As long as it isn't the week of the *A Do in FRA/TLS I'm up for it.

Let that be a lesson. There are all sorts of shenanigai that occur in the teaching profession, especially with respect to subs and part-timers.

There happens to be an education-specialty lawyer right here in my little backwoods town who is a family friend and a former Rotarian. I'll see what he has to say about what happened.

The refurbished 734's are actually pretty nice in F. Is that fare also available from PBI?

I was looking at US to come home on Christmas morning and was specifically booking away from 734's. Maybe I should reconsider this and buy the cheap Y seat with a REVUP at the counter. I paid $100 for me to sit in F and another $100 for my fiancee to pass out in enhanced comfort.

Nope. 787's are referred to as "Unicorns" in CO parlance thanks to Do IV. (That's right, boys and girls, from the same group of people who introduced "The Hublet" to your lexicon.) One of the questions at the Larry and Jeff Show was something to th effect of: "What will we see first: a 787 in CO colors, or a real live unicorn?"

That reminds me of a Budweiser commercial airing in Florida a few years ago: 30 seconds of of tourists doing touristy things, and at the end “Welcome to Florida! Now go home.”

@N965VJ: You don't have your FlightMemory URL enabled? I wanted to click and see your map and it took me to the FM homepage.

Passengers of Size may have difficulty with teh new Envoy Seat. It looked perfectly fine as I walked past it to the  cabin on my STT-CLT flight earlier this year. I sat (for about 10 mins) in the 757 Envoy Cradle Seat on PHL-STT, and it was pretty comfy.

Restricted personal freedom? Have you spent much time in CA? Home of the HOA and gated communities. NJ has more personal freedom than CA.

I did just say that. Would you rather be in: (1) a UA domestic 777 ORD-HNL with regular domestic F seats, and disgusting Charlie Trotter menu choices, or (2) a new US 767 Envoy angled-flat seat with their good catering and delicious premium cocktails (The Pomegranate Martini is excellent!)?

So US doesn't serve meals in F on just about anything except Transcons... There will be meals on CLT-HNL. My experience of US catering on both DCA-PHX and PDX-PHL was excellent. The food was on par with what CO serves in F.

Granted, CO will likely still have an edge with its BF-Style catering on the HNL route, but until CO gets fully-flat seats on its 767s, US will have the better :-: Alliance Seat to HNL.

Wow. I don't know what to say. It would be hard to decide, but with UA, at least from JFK, you can do PS to the west coast and then a quick domestic F flight to the islands. I personally would prefer that, particularly since I can upgrade it with a CR1.

Same with UA. It eludes me as to why UA is retrofitting all the Ted planes with new F seats but not putting power in.:confused:

Stanford Hospital now has a Progress/Status Board so that you can glance at how your love one is doing without bugging the nurses or receptionist. I asked one of the head nurses (she's a dog park goer) what happens when if the person dies on the table. Does the board flash "whoopsy" or "see Nurse". She laughted because all the board says if "in operating room" or "in recovery" and if there is a problem they come find you asap.
