Tempting. I assume you'd get home on a BD one-way redemption? That could get rather pricey, but lines are fun. I might just have to join in on that fun.

Multi-City can be done IAH-DME; FRA-JFK, all on SQ for ~$760a/i. It's a Q fare, though, so no miles. I believe it is in the $900 range for a mileage-earning fare. The ~$480 one-way IAH-DME is a mileage-earning W fare, IIRC. The SQ flight leaves the Thursday before MLK day (01/21). No Friday flights exist.

I had been considering doing a one-way back to the U.S. on a charter carrier, but haven't been finding any workable Martinair or Air Berlin flights that return on MLK Monday (they all leave on Sunday).

All I smell is urine...

She's leaving via JFK so I told her she could access the SkyClub with a DL pass. Anyone going to be in JFK on August 12 that would like to guest someone?

Her destination is actually NIM but the layover in CMN is something like 12 hours, so AT buses pax into town and has a hotel for them. ^

ALCO pick your chin up off the ground, it's all in Y ;)

I've wanted to go to Morocco since my mother came back from there several years ago. Apparently people of the blond persuasion are rarities there - she was propositioned to stay in the country in exchange for 300 camels. Not a joke.

No, but that reminds me, I'll be doing the PC tour the next few weeks if any Boxers are around (I always seem to miss the IAH crowd by a couple hours).

The schedule is:

8/10
LGA PC 4p - 5p
IAH PC (not sure which one) 815 - 9p

8/13

IAH PC (not sure) 1145a - 1p

8/15 (can't guest will be with Canuck)
EWR C 530a - 630a
CLE (first time in the hublet on CO :-:) 750a-830a
IAH (who knows) 1030a -1115a

8/27 (can't guest)
IAH 925a - 1030a

*any and all IAH visits may be pre-empted by a journey to B to get Shipleys and then getting stuck on the Termalink.

At school we had the IIe, IIGS, then a succession of 500-series and the like. I'm fairly certain I didn't touch a PC until sometime in high school. :)

I was in one of the few Texas schools that did NOt have appleII's instead we had the IBM machines, maybe that is why I am so skewed and hate macs to much :D

Indeed. I've now discovered that FI has cheap one-ways ex-Scandinavia. Then there's always the oddball Europe-US flights on airlines like KU, 9W, AI, etc...

Hartmann Aug 4, 2009 8:24 am

Is IAH-LGA for $288 (r/t) a good deal? I don't know NYC fares so it seems reasonable to me.

Also, how hard is it to get to LGA on a Monday morning if staying in Manhattan?
