Good one ^

Thanks but I stole it from Robin Williams. Just like I'm stealing the following from Jim Norton:

"Michael Jackson is allegedly a pedophile. Which is like saying that Jupiter is allegedly a planet."

Wow - Alaska isn't afraid to charge a high price for anything.

They have their own little cornered market...with that, sadly, comes the right to dictate terms.

In other news, I nailed down my first big pitch meeting this morning. Go me.

Sadly I got nothing nad my account has been active. :(

I sent TTU an email seeing if they'd be willing to manually add some EQMs to my account, offering to fly them over AA for the second half of the year.

Voodoo 1 is a flying testbed. The freakiest flying tester out there has to be the 737 that got its front end chopped off and replaced with that of a Joint Strike Fighter. Everything aft of the cockpit was cleared out and replaced with technicians and instrumentation for flight control system validation. Voodoo 1 is also formerly known as N710AA. :D

China Eastern A346 promoting Shanghai Expo 2010. BTW, the 346 definitely uses less runway to get off the ground than the 343.

Why not start a special livery thread in Travel Photo? I can't start said thread because I don't have any custom liveries in my library. I don't get out to spot often enough.

"Pink Delta" heading back to SLC:

A little more research (read: checking a.net captions) reveals that the nose on Voodoo 1 is supposedly that of an F-15.

Well...Starwood doesn't do franchise for its W and St Regis brands. These two brands (brands, not properties) are owned by Starwood exclusively. The only way to get into these two brands is to do a UJV (Unincorporated Joint Venture) with them. This means, Starwood has pretty much the final say in its operations. Sure, the property itself may be owned by someone else, but Starwood has the final say, or the W or St Regis brands go buh bye, which is very different from a franchise, which usually does its own operation.

I think I'll just post these to the regular planespotting thread on that forum, unless someone start a special thread for them.

Meanwhile, here's a "Delta" A320. a.net doesn't have photo of the new color for this particular plane yet:

That shade of blue that DL is putting on the nacelles is really nice. Coming home from AMS the paint on my A330 was so new and shiny that I took shots out the window of the main gear coming down by aiming the camera at the nacelle. That was very challenging and lots of fun...I didn't get shots of the gear in motion, but I did get it down and locked.

Anyone here get the DL MQM/NW EQM promotion in their account? I emailed TTU to see if they would give me some EQMs to get started. My Worldperks account is long dormant but I'm plotting to get to silver status with NW by year-end. Of course I had to wait until all the DEQM promotions expired but hey..

Why not status match to Plat?

I am assuming that you will not burn your once in a lifetime status match with Delta by doing this but will eventually get Delta PM once everything is finally rolled over???

I got distracted on my way to my photo hosting site:
