Night, Box.

I was going thru some old files and I found my diary of stupid customer interactions from my time behind the Concierge desk. I'll start sharing them tomorrow.

Good morning box.

allow me to recap Delta DO day 1.

went to DL museum, bought NW 787 model and timetables from 1979. Went to Q+A with DL execs, learned that they measured DL.com against CO.com (they see CO.com as the industry leader). Had drinks, someone posted for me. Got drunk, got a museum quality 763 model for free.

Re: Retrojet meet. I emphasize the word, meet. Since that is what I did today. I want to thank Hartmann for picking us (baby photog72 and I) up and driving us to/from IAH to see the new a/c. Nice to meet you Hartmann. I met baglady, sans Plus1. But, she was w/ her father. It was nice meeting you two. Thanks for your help in dealing w/ baby photog72. Thanks to Hartmann for helping out with the little one as well. And, it was nice meeting sdm1130 and soon to be Mrs. sdm1130, and his father. I hope you had a good trip to DSM. I had a great time today. Yeah, it was 102 for the high, but we were indoors for all of it.

As for CO day on July 15, what's going to happen at IAH? For now, I am free that day. I hope I am not. I hope I have a job by then.

Sounds fun. I may have to look into a day trip to IAH!

BTW, those in the box thinking about Oshkosh, I just read online that the A380 will be open to the public to walk through 2.5 days of it's visit. there is suppose to be a self guided tour that one will be able to take on the lower and the full main deck. This is the demonstration aircraft that Airbus owns!

Good morning box. Why can't I sleep?

Bath/Spa:rolleyes: Spas in the master bath are the biggest waste of money since very, very, very few people use them.

Yep, I have had one for three years and never touched it.

sounds interesting, but I think I have to skip this year, I may plan it out in advance next year!
People don't think I am that organized, but I like to plan things 5-6 months out.....

If any of the wine-inclined Boxers are interested in such, my hardcover copy of The House of Mondavi was returned to me tonight. It's a phenomenal read and great for a long flight.

I probably would be interested. I met the man when we went out there in the 70s and he happened to be giving the tour of his winery. He was an interesting and compelling guy who obviously had his entire life invested in making wine. The book can be passed to me the next time the CO flyers get together in NJ and ConciergeMike and I both find it geographically convenient.

an interesting quote for the Box:

"Our father would pit us against each other," he says. "One of us was always in the penalty box, and the other was the hero--and you could never predict when it was going to happen." While Michael respects his father's business acumen, he says Robert "had no skills in how to be a family person... He's my boss, or was. He's my genetic father, and emotionally I'd like to have a father, but it never developed."

Wirelessly posted (BlackBerry8830/4.2.2 Profile/MIDP-2.0 Configuration/CLDC-1.1 VendorID/104)

Lines at EWR are insane.

Also, my flight to IAH is oversold but they wouldn't take us bc the wife is on a paid FC ticket and they said they would only put us on CO metal leaving at 5pm tonight. I was cool with it until they said we can give you $200 each.

What were you expecting on a Friday morning in the summer? I'm sure the lines are worse in Terminal A for AA.

Yep......I have an oversized tub/undersized spa in my master bath. It functions primarily as a "clothes that aren't yet fully dirty yet aren't exactly clean" storage facility.

I want to pull it and revamp the bathroom with a bigger shower instead of the crappy stall I have now.
