That could be a good feeling. I never got to that point thankfully. I now people who do get in that postion but they were strange. I think they thought a 3000 person firm would collapse if they, a low person on the pole, didn't show up for work everyday.

Dergon's medical prediction of the day:

Within 6 months we will find out that there are questions raised about the appropriateness of Steve Jobs' new liver and and that he may have been inappropriately bumped up the donor list ala Mickey Mantle.

Think I can make 1K in those days?

Are you sure you want to listen to him? This is the man that tortured himself in Y for 10 days over the Pacific. :D

That would be sad and also wouldn't surprise me. Narcissistic folks tend to think they're more awesome than everyone else.

What I read about the issue is that he moved to Tennessee earlier this year to be able to get on donor lists in that state. Apparently Tennessee has the shortest liver wait list in the country (IIRC, what was quotes was ~50 days vs. ~300 for the national average). I dunno what it is about TN, opt out for donor cards instead of opt in? Too many hillbillies and ATV w/o a helmet?:o:rolleyes:

It is ok in and of itself; I just hope people do not turn the thread into another union debate or discussion of the incident itself.
