Mackieman, hope your father-in-law surgery goes well and a wish for speedy and full recovery.

Was on a MCO flight this past weekend. One of the passengers brought her chihuahua on the flight. Complete with a Louis Vuitton pet carrier. Amazing how the chihuahua behaved better than the offsprings of other passengers .

Just found out my father-in-law had a big heart attack yesterday and has five blocked arteries in addition to full onset type II diabetes. Bypass surgery is scheduled in the morning so my wife and I are headed to PHX this evening. All this and it's my wife's birthday today, too. :(

On a happier note, my wife also had an interview with a school district in the AUS area. They basically told her that she could have any of the four or five positions they have open. So she's pretty much guaranteed a job after we move. ^ to that. |
Do I even have the slightest chance of actually finding 2 F reward seats on CO between SFO and EWR? I'm looking at a Wednesday afternoon (12:50p departure) on a 753.

I've only done it as part of a connection to an international award. I could never find availability on CO, so almost always would end up finding domestic F segments on NW. Rare exception was IAH-LAX on my RTW. In the wake of Teh  Flu, there was tons of availability on IAH-LAX in F, even on a Sunday Afternoon. ^

This would actually just be at the end of our honeymoon trip and not a separate domestic F reward (although, I guess it doesn't make a difference). Right now, we're on SFO-MEM-EWR because none of the CO flights have F availability. Since I've never had to search reward availability between SFO and EWR, I'm just curious to know what the experiences of others have been.

I'm not sure if you're still looking to make any changes, but if you're interested in dropping your CZ flights, NW seems to have opened a lot of TPAC availability between NRT and SFO.
Besides, I like the idea of a new carrier, semi-obscure FM line (LAX-CAN-ICN), and the CZ hard-product on the 772 looks passable. |
