If you're lucky, you can take a train to Princton Junction but I don't think any trains stop at PJC on weekends anymore. With that said, take a train to Trenton and switch to NJ Transit to Princeton Junction.

I use to drive back and forth between Fairfax and home every week so driving isn't that bad.

On a happier note, my wife also had an interview with a school district in the AUS area. They basically told her that she could have any of the four or five positions they have open. So she's pretty much guaranteed a job after we move. ^ to that.

Sending good and healing thoughts out to your father-in-law Mackieman

How was the canal tour. Do you think I would have time on my 6 hour layover on Sunday to do it and how far is it from Central Station?

1. I could take or leave it. The angles for photography are terrible and to those who say that the best way to see Amsterdam is by water, I say . Big . The canal tours - FAIL.

2. Yes. I don't have schedules handy, but you could do the short or medium tour (50/70/90 minute choices) and make it back to Schiphol if the timing works.

3. It's across the street, a little off to the right as you come out of Central Station.

Night, Box. I'm beat.

Mackieman, so sorry to hear about your father-in-law. Hope all goes well tomorrow.

Happy Birthday to your wife.

If you are going to be hanging out in the hospital all day/night you might be able to make arrangements with the hospital cafeteria to set up a special table for the two of you. I know when I was having my kids, the hospitals all offered a steak dinner complete with a floral arrangement on a table for new parents. Maybe the hospital your FIL is at has something similar. And the steak was actually good.

No worries, stuck at LAX right now because of WX issues at MAF this morning... 6 hours in the PClub... at least the internet is working here again. :)

Hey..

If the SDC policy was gonna show/work on CO.com shouldn't the other routings via the 6:30am departure have switched over in price..?

colpuck May 11, 2009 4:33 pm

So I got 200$ on the J.ed special. That puts me at 1000 for this year.

You are at MAF? I am just to the east of there a ways :) I think you have actual choice in who you fly out that way, unlike here.

I have some totally useless information to share with the Box:

The Devil Dog from Hell (formally known as the Pound Puppy from Hell) loves to eat paste, and also the glue stick it was in. ^ Not sure which she prefered most but she ate them both. :D

I really want to buy another plane ticket now. I'm seriously considering $500 to go to GVA - completely not worth it for the miles - but I have a buddy I can visit at that point. And I can get it in before the end of DEQM I think.

Or anything else. I still have two trips planned over then next 8 weeks, plus a weekend road trip, but that doesn't feel like enough. :(
