Actually we are in the middle of a hotel/motel building boom. They are adding about 4 or 5 new properties in town. BTW, Joe's is world Famous if you read their PR and both President Bushs' graduation speech talked of it fondly (although I dont think they stopped for the cheese fries like they mentioned). Stillwater isn't that bad but after you live here vs. visiting it does change your thoughts on the town. I mean I have to drive 1.5 hours to get on a plane vs. 20 minutes when I lived in LBB. Yes the campus is nice.

Will this be one of us one day:
Was just reading about the first Delta flight to Shanghai and the following qoute from the article caught my eye:
Marietta, Margaret Adkins, 83, who lives at Winnwood Retirement Community, bought her ticket in September, the day they went on sale. The airplane was leaving and she just wanted to go some place new. "I wanted to tell my great grandkids I was on the first flight to China from Atlanta," Adkins said. http://www.ajc.com/business/content/...id=inform_artr This sounds like it could easily be one of use, I wonder if she has a FT handle? |
Random question for the box. When did CO remove the lounges from their 747s and DC10s? I vaguely remember sitting in a lounge on a DC10 when I was young but can't recall if it was actually on CO.

On an unrelated note, thank heavens for CRCs - Home of the Big Apple ^ |
Some of the remnants of the bar were still in the BusinessFirst cabin on my lone CO DC-10 flight in early September 2001. But the actual lounge service was long gone, and seats had been installed where most of the lounge once was.

I'm sitting in Delta CRC at SAN this afterenoon, waiting for the delayed flight.
The aircraft is sitting at the gate, which flew in from EWR earlier, but the reason of the delay is "crew arrival delay." Inbound flight which crew was in, is coming from IAH, and supposed to fly out to EWR. As a result, SAN-EWR flight is also delayed, and both flight are rescheduled about the same time. I have a bad experience is similar situation in the past - I don't remember the detail, but it was like... delayed arrival flight caused to cross the limit of flight crew's maximum work hours (or something like that) and airline had to send a set of new flight crews. I hope this is not the case today... |
I was on CO's 3rd oldest plane in fleet this morning. 733, N77303, delivered 7/24/1985. 23 year old plane, and it's in such good condition that I doubt any passenger onboard would have guessed how old that plane is.
BTW, row 5 on the 733 is really good. [Well, it does have those super thin Y seats without the winged headrests.] |

I don't like that bulkhead row on the mid-cabin lav config planes, as I don't travel with a stink shield :p |

I love row 5 on the 733/5/Gs. Plenty of leg room and easy on/off the plane. I actually like 5D better than 14A/F with the unlimited legroom.

Yes, I have to say I now prefer Row 5 to 14A/F. And 5A/F are better for photo taking. I'll post the sunrise pictures later. :)

I prefer rows 1 and 2 on that particular plane. So should we ever end up on the same 735 flight, you don't have to worry about me taking your seat. :D
I'll take 5A over 1A. NOT! :p |
